Nothing has been confirmed about schaub being out, but the writing is on the wall IMO.......

here is an interesting quote from AJ

Quote:

James Palmer ‏@JPalmerCSN 10m
Andre Johnson said Keenum "has an aura about him". Said he is just so excited to be out there and is having fun. #Texans

Will be interesting to see this unfold, Im excited i guess...

Keenum.

People at least have come to the realization that Yates isn't an answer. Now is the time to put Keenum in to prove to everyone that he isn't the answer either.

Told you Keenum has the winning mentality at QB, unlike Schaub or Yates. I hope Keenum starts and does well, but I wont bet on it. Arrowhead is going to be rocking and we are going to lose. Crying or Very sad

I'm...starting to think more about Case Keenum as the starter. Part of it might be desperation, I don't know...but I am interested in what he can do when given the whole week to work as the starter. I'm not expecting much, but that's when I usually get the most out of it, so hopefully there's something to it.

A buddy of mine and I were texting back and forth today, and he reminded me of something I said during the preseason while watching Case - there's a striking similarity between Case and Jeff Garcia: Both are small, have pop gun arms, kinda skinny, not the fastest guys on the field...but very quick, elusive, know where the pressure is coming from and anticipated where the clear sight lines were going to be, always kept their head downfield, made up for pop gun arms by having good placement on their passes and throwing a "catchable" pass...those are some solid traits to build on, traits that can take you far (as it did the former UDFA from the bay, Garcia).

I mean...can lightning strike twice, once in SF and once in Houston? I don't know. Could be desperation, could be a memory long faded...but let's see what the kid can do. I mean, what worse can he do than what's been going on now?

Feeding Keenun to the Chiefs would ruin him

See, this is what I don't get. Guy hasn't taken a single snap at the pro level, and he has a "winning mentality" suddenly. OK, a few players said some good things about him. Great. Wonderful. Still gotta go out and play against actual NFL players before you can say someone wins or loses. He could be Kurt Warner, he could be Rusty Smith.

Let's lay off the anointing oil, shall we? Rolling Eyes

I'm sure Kubiak will put an end to this quickly. How dare a player be excited or have fun, or have an aura of energy about him. That energy and excitement might rub off on the other players, and he'll have none of that.

I'll keep that in mind if he leads us to a win against the Chiefs assuming he starts this week. Rolling Eyes Plus it dont take that much to be better than TJ Yates anyway.

Pardon me for not getting excited about my school college player that went to my school. Rolling Eyes

Again, Im not anointing him the second coming of Jesus or anything like that. I just want to see how he does playing in the NFL in games that count.

If Andre is excited, I am too. Laughing

I am very excited to see how someone who can actually avoid pressure and make the defense at least think that the QB can pick up a few yards on the ground.

Let the madness begin. Not that I don't like Keenum but the UH fans will be going nuts over this.

This is going to answer alot of the questions if Keenum has what it takes to start in this league... I HOPE he has what it takes bec I really dont want to use a 1st round pick this year on a QB that has to be groomed
