Yup.

Sucks when a lucky HR is your teams best chance at scoring...and with Wainwright in the zone, I might as well be up there at bat.

They're not going to take him out the way he's pitching. There's almost no situation in which they'd take him out for a pinch hitter.

Think they'll pitch him at least 1 more.

Anyone think they have a good chance of taking two in Boston should they drop this one?

Dunno if that was "lucky" it wasn't a great pitch and Holliday is their best/hottest hitter.

At this point the Sox just have to hope they can reach extra innings or at least until Wainwright comes out.

But then of course their bullpen is good too.

Not really. Wacha vs. Lackey and Peavy vs. Kelly are both in St. Louis's favor.

This series is going to come down to which team makes more mistakes pitching, and the Sox right now look far more likely to make a mistake pitching and not capitalize on a Cardinal mistake.

It can be done, but I don't see it as likely given the way the offense has performed.

They're going to have to get to Wainright. A battle of the bullpen favors the Cardinals.

I was talking about the red sox over the next couple of innings.

I think you may be the only one assuming Peavy touches a baseball again Murts. With Lester doing work this game so far I don't see why we can't save Felix and use him to start game 7...then its every arm/bat it takes to win this at our house.

And and not to be repetitive but I don't wanna touch Felix this game. We need him and Lester to platoon game 7.

Might need Doubront Wednesday. Can't assume he will be available. Right now, we have to assume Peavy will start a hypothetical Game 7.
