If Foles keeps this level of play up, there's not really anything the Eagles can do but keep him. We won't get the compensation in return, rendering the option of trading him impossible. This isn't Matt Flynn where he had one good game, Foles has done it over the course of a whole month.

Even if Foles threw 5 interceptions in November, 19 TDs and 5 picks is still pretty damn good, and normal.

Unless Foles completely collapses from here on out, there's no way we're drafting a potential QB of the future in the draft, unless of course, our hand is forced with a great value pick.

It's going to take multiple bad games from Foles sometime from now till the end of the year to get the Eagles to resume looking elsewhere for an answer. But as of now, Foles is just playing too well (no, he hasn't been perfect) and a good quarterback is not something you just toss away for no reason.

Plus Mariotta is going back to school. Not like we're gonna take that scrub Tajh Boyd

What if we traded Foles for a first rounder...then went Manziel with our extra pick to replace him? Laughing

Id be mad. Especially if Foles ends up being amazing and Manziel busts. Which IMO is the most likely scenario.

Only way Id be OK is if we got Bortles instead Smile

I like Bortles.. but no doubt in my mind that I would take Foles over him. He has already proven he can play really good football in the NFL. Unless Foles falls off a cliff there is no way we are taking QB in the first round next year.

Our current QB has a 125 passer rating... There is absolutely no reason anyone should even be entertaining the idea of someones else replacing him.

I would only take a QB early if he could do what Foles can do plus bring the ability to be more of a threat in the run game.

Now all QBs in the latter category are very much projects in the pass game, so even if we did draft someone (say Hundley) then I would still keep hold of Foles whilst the draftee develops.

You don't want me to buy a Foles jersey. The last two players' jerseys I bought either got injured then retired or tore their ACL then faded away into the wilderness
