Delhomme was the best when he wasn't throwing pick 6s. He actually looked really good till the game was on the line. Jeff Garcia also. Just had a crap team around him

I think DAs one year of success skews your ranking too much.

5. Frye: Local kid, doomed to fail

This would be my exact order also.

I long for the days when we won't have to have threads like this. No offense to the OP, but I'm simply tired of the manure.

It ticks me off when patience is constantly preached to us about QBs from inside our fanbase and out when the product on the field has never been anything but complete garbage. Why are we so worried to call it like it is? Why do we start awful QBs and the people calling them awful get reprimanded until their 20th start?

It's not about pessimism, it's just that Weeden has had maybe 3 games his entire career where he's been serviceable, and even those games he didn't do anything to suggest that it wasn't just dumb luck.

Playing QB is about so much more than arm strength, that's literally the only thing he has!

Ouch. As a Lions' fan, I feel for you guys - that's pretty much like our list looked pre-Stafford.

Couch was probably the Best starting QB we have had and an expansion team ruined him.

From there I would rank DA second.

Then comes the big pot of Dilfer, Garcia, Frye, Hoyer, Delhomme, Quinn, Wallace...

Please tell me that's a joke. You're telling me Weeden isn't a Top 9 QB for the Browns since the return? Really?

Couch is #1 and then the rest is a crap shoot. I also wonder what Delhomme could of done if he never hurt his ankle the first quarter of the season. That high ankle on his back ankle foot really killed him. Would of never had to deal with Colt or it let Col Develop at least

Since when I have said Weeden was good? I just said he gets too much hate this year.

Again your rankings are probably

Hoyer
Holcomb
Frye
Dorsey...

1. Derek Anderson - His limited success puts him ahead of everyone else
2. Colt McCoy - He had heart, and limited his mistakes, but didn't have the tools
3. Brandon Weeden - Big arm... and that's about it
4. Brady Quinn - Had one or two pretty good games for us (the Lions game comes to mind)
5. Charlie Frye - All I remember from him was running into sacks. He literally ran into sacks.

If I had to expand it to the main starting QBs we've had:

1. Tim Couch - Had the legitimate talent, but everything around him was a disaster
2. Derek Anderson - See above
3. Jeff Garcia - Was a square peg in a round hole in Butch Davis' offense
4. Brian Hoyer - From what I saw of him, he looked really good
5. Kelly Holcomb - He played in the playoffs and did well
6. Colt McCoy - See above
7. Brandon Weeden - See above
8. Brady Quinn - See above
9. Seneca Wallace - He wasn't terrible, but he was far from good
10. Trent Dilfer - Don't remember much about him, but it seems he was pretty pedestrian
11. Jake Delhomme - I'll always remember the .gif of him missing the barn
12. Charlie Frye - See above
