Your defense isn't that great if you let the Cardinals score 22 points Laughing

Really? Maybe Cam Newton's 4 INTs might have had a little bit to do with that.

Agreed. The combination of Alexander, Addison, and Horton could make losing him hurt a little less, but none of them are going to com in and have even close to the impact of Hardy.

I do think overall though our front seven is so skilled losing Hardy won't be too much of a detriment and I trust Gettleman's ability to reload on the front seven.

Overall though, I think the MLB/ILB position has always been underrated in the fact that it can have a huge impact on its defenses, even as much as DEs and DTs. And in my opinion, I am struggling to think of a middle linebacker that is outperforming Luke Kuechly this season (and while I am not a fan, PFF has him rated as their #1 player at the position so I'm not completely making this up). Always fantastic in sniffing out the run but this year, I have been so impressed with his ability in coverage which has become a strong suit of his too. His sheer physical ability combined with his instincts on the field are something special and as long as he is healthy, I feel like we will be able to have a top flight defense most of the years he is here. I truly think he is a special player and as of now, our best player without a doubt.

Agreed. I know its only his second year but he has the chance to do for our defense what Urlacher/Lewis did for theirs so many years. The sky is the limit for this kid.
