EDIT-Trade deadline is actually the 29th, not the 15th

The trade deadline ends THE 29TH somewhere during the day. But everyone else in the AFC North so far except for the Bengals have made a big trade. Browns got rid of Richardson, Steelers got Levi Brown, Ravens got Eugene Monroe.

It seems unlikely, but I would hope the Bengals are at least taking a look at some possible trades.

Here were some players that could be possibly traded by other teams.

I'm not saying all of those guys are options for the Bengals, but I would seriously consider trying to get Jairus Byrd.

Or maybe another WR to help out Dalton. Britt is a big risk, but if you can get him cheap it might be worth it. Nicks could be a nice long term solution if a contract is made. Gordon unlikely since hes very pricey and the Browns won't wanna trade him to a division rival anyway.

Anybody else have thoughts on this?

I dont see us making any moves. Iloka has been playing well so I doubt we get Byrd especially because of the money he wants.

A WR opposite AJ isnt a terrible idea, but Sanu hasnt been bad and it is more on Dalton than the receiver for his struggles

Iloka or sanu and a 4 would be cool, although I don't see them as long term solutions with the contract demands.

We trade Andy, BGE and a 7th rounder for Eli.

Not now. Eli needs a change in scenery, but midseason won't help us.

There's noone really that comes to mind for a trade. Our depth at WR will get a boost with hawkins in two or so weeks and Sanu and Jones have performed when asked. I hope Pressley comes in and replaces Alex Smith.

The defense could always be upgraded, but at what cost? I'd rather keep what we have than bring in a pricey vet (use the money to keep our own again.... MJ93, Green)

Well if the were really serious about considering a QB change, they would be better off to just sign Matt Schaub next year. His career is good as over in Houston now after the way the fans treated him recently.

But QB change won't happen and it shouldn't as long as the bengals make the playoffs again.

Shaub is an expensive switch that isn't an upgrade anyway. No thanks

That just wouldn't work.

His red hair just doesn't go with the blue jerseys...... Smile

Why get Shaub? He has not done anything for his team that is built very similar to us

Apparently the trade deadline actually ends after week 8 is over, which means it ends on the 29th, not yesterday.
