Well, we have no chance now at playoffs (like we did before), but we can look towards an off season. Maybe a mock off-season. Taking a look at next year's roster and such, I put together a rough mock offseason.

Coaches- TC "retires" and is given a senior consulting position. Fire both coordinators.

Priorities
Hire a new HC- David Shaw?
Hire a new OC- Mike Sullivan? (TB might clean house)
Hire a new DC- Mike Nolan? (Fall guy in Atlanta)

Players- I say keep a similar base offense, but change to a 3-4 or Hybrid. That's where all the hot prospects are. Certain players like Tuck and other backups might not fit, but it makes sense to transition now. Also, what to do with Nicks? I'd tag him and trade him for a 2nd Round pick. Might the Raiders fit.

Priorities-
Nicks? (Franchise and trade)
Baas? (Cut- post July 1)
Snee? (Pay cut)
Tuck? (Gone)
Kiwanuka? (Pay cut)
Rolle? (Lower salary some, but make it guaranteed)
Webster? (Cut)
Rebuild OL
Move to 3-4 (moves our DE to OLB and allows us to use existing DL depth to cover up our inability to get/develop good LBs)

Draft- Trade Nicks to Oakland for 2nd Rounder. Trade #3ish back for #7ish and a second rounder and 2014 1st to Minnesota for the rights to Taj Boyd.

1- Jake Matthews- OT- Texas A&M
2- Aaron Colvin- CB- Oklahoma
2- Jordan Matthews- WR- Vanderbilt (via Vikings)
2- Stephon Tuitt- DE- Notre Dame (via Raiders)
3- Ryan Shazier- LB- Ohio St
4- Arthur Lynch- TE- Georgia
4- Eathyn Manumaleuna- DT- BYU (compensatory via sucking)
6- Dri Archer- RB- Kent St
6- Devon Kennard- LB- USC (compensatory)
7- Sean Parker- S- Washington
7- Jonotthan Harrison- C- Florida (compensatory)

SIGN/RE-SIGN
RB- Toby Gerhart
RB- Andre Brown
WR- Andre Roberts
TE- Garrett Graham
OL- Alex Mack
OL- Anthony Collins
DL- Mike Patterson
LB- Jon Beason
LB- Dan Connor
LB- Parys Haralson
DB- Stevie Brown
DB- Ryan Mundy
DB- Dominique Franks
DB- Aaron Ross
K- Dan Carpenter

CUT
OL- David Baas
DB- Corey Webster

STARTERS
QB- Eli Manning
RB- David Wilson
FB- Henry Hynoski
WR- Victor Cruz
WR- Rueben Randle/ Jordan Matthews
TE- Garrett Graham
C- Alex Mack
RG- Chris Snee
LG- Justin Pugh
RT- Jake Matthews
LT- Will Beatty

NT- Linval Joseph
DE/ DT- Jonathan Hankins
DE/ LE- Cullen Jenkins/ Stephon Tuitt
OLB/ RE- Jason Pierre-Paul
ILB/ MLB- Jon Beason
ILB/ WLB- Ryan Shazier
OLB/ SLB- Mathias Kiwanuka
SS- Antrel Rolle
FS- Stevie Brown/ Will Hill
CB- Prince Amukamara
CB- Aaron Colvin

K- Dan Carpenter
P- Steve Weatherford
LS- Zak DeOssie
KR- Dri Archer
PR- Dri Archer

i'd actually cut rolle.

will hill, while dumb has shown great potential. he's a great tackler and has quick instincts. ryan mundy is impressive and the giants still have stevie brown and cooper taylor.

I don't think pierre paul can play olb as effectively as when his hand is in the ground. Wed probably see him on the line. Plus he's 290 pounds and he's no Ware.

Cullen jenkins excelled in the packers 4-3 when they switched to the 3-4, he was the odd man out. Eagles doesn't count bc they did that wide 9 crap.

Its early still but there is serious consideration for matthews at number 2 as he should be.

I think at number seven, you can get someone like an anthony barr type outside linebacker. If you were going the 3-4 route, he'd have to be the concensus pick.

I don't know how beason will fair in a 3-4... from what I've read is that he's strictly a 4-3 middle.

Its tough to transition from a 4-3 to a 3-4 bc there is a total rebuild mode that takes years. Personally I feel we need to stick to the 4-3. We have a lot of talent in the front 7 (jpp, moore, hankins, joseph, paysinger, beason)

i dont think beason is a free agent, and i'm personally not a fan. I want to see more roster changes, and giving up nicks (one of the few picks that has actually contributed over the years) isnt smart. as i said before, cruz isnt being paid X-receiver money because we intend to pay Nicks that. Whether its this off-season or we franchise him and pay him in two years, I expect nicks to get that money.

I'd prefer to remain a 4-3 as well. Tuck looks like he is on his way out. Would like to see a rotation of JPP/Kiwi/Moore/the DE you already know we are getting in R1 of the 2014 Draft Laughing

Beason is a FA. When he restructured his contract with panthers it voided the rest of his massive contract

Ya, exactly with Beason. He's a FA now, but could get an incentive-laden deal. Beason is a solid MLB thumper at least now. We could look at OLB to bridge the gap. With Nicks or any other big contract going forward, they'd most likely structure low in 2014. 2015, the new TV contracts kick in, so the cap could go up to as much as $130m. Just guessing t the amount. Last year, it was $123m, this year will likely be close to $124m.

Among the costly free agents we would look at

Nicks- at least $9m/year
Mack- $6.5m/year (using comparisons of Myers/Wells)
Joseph- $4.25m/year (using Peko as comparison)

Also, a CB like Alterraun Verner?

My issues:

Not a fan of the 34. Only guy that benefits is Kiwanuka, who I'd be happy to see not return tbh.

Do teams often tag and trade guys?

Alex Mack is going to hit FA? Boy I'd like him.

Meh to the new coordinators. I think they might be downgrades to what we have.
