Harbaugh said mid to late Nov, so lets hope he's right.

Too soon, Crabs will never be the same.

We're doomed.

New mock draft

WR every round.

might find 1 good WR.

Blows my mind how quick he recovered from an achillies injury.

This is great. Manningham, Boldin, and VD. Kaep can start working on his timing with Manningham and when he starts getting it down his fav target comes back? I would be happy if at first they just used Crabs as the #3 and let him do work there for a while. I would be pretty excited if we got QP back also. He has to be better than KW as a #4. That's an offense with 4 good route runners. None are really that fast but itsaaaaaaaaight!

I thought guys couldn't "practice" until they were re-activated. Aren't they limited to conditioning and sideline drills until then? In any case I can hardly wait till he gets back - assuming he doesn't hurry it.

'Clears to practice' doesn't mean he's actually practicing with us. He just has medical clearance if we want him back.

Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles coming back from late ACL tears and still dominating the way they did a the next season along with Suggs quick return shows it's possible. Advancements in modern medicine helps big time.

No, Crabtree is allowed to practice but we have three weeks from this day to activate him to the 53 man roster.

I remember reading that he had the surgery hours after he tore it. usually they have to wait a few days because by the time they can schedule a surgery they have to wait for the swelling to die down. But I guess because of the close proximity to Stanford Hospital (one of the best in the nation, especially for this type of operation) and his celebrity status they were able to have the surgery before any serious swelling had occurred.

I shouldnt have to explain why this would help immensely.

Honestly, Im really surprised that kobe didnt get similar treatment. he waited a day to even have the scans and such that confirmed that it was torn (even though he knew right when it happened what had gone wrong) then had the surgery sometime after that. he tore it before crabs and still isnt back yet, although he is 10 years older.

i still dont want to rush crabs back though, last year was the first year since college where he finally looked fast (that broken foot was bothering him for a loooong time) and I want him 100% for the rest of his career. No need to rush him back

Yep, Crabtree can participate in full practice (I imagine they'll have him in on a limited basis for a few first) starting immediately. Anyone on the PUP list can participate in regular practices for a period of 3 weeks. After the 3 weeks, the team either has to activate him to the roster, or place him on season ending injured reserve. So - he'll be activated at the latest by the 26th of November (in time for the Rams game). I'm willing to bet he'll be activated for the Redskins game, though, and if the team is desperate - maybe the Saints.

Yep, looks like the Redskins game, and if not, than he HAS to be activated for the Rams game.

I hope he plays against the Skins. I'll be there cheering him on. I like what another guy here said about lettering him play WR3 till he gets acclimated.
