So we either sign Pat White/David Carr, or bring up Wilson from the practice squad?

I'd bring Wilson up......David Carr isn't better than McGloin being our #2 imo..

Wilson would be the cheapest option and somewhat familiar with the offense, I would think. Carr makes no sense. Pat White only makes sense if Pryor goes down with injury -- which, with the current state of our O-line, is not all that unlikely.....

Yeah, might as well put Wilson on the active roster. Carr and White are trash.

Flynn trade: Seattle receives Oak's 5th-round pick in 2014. The 2015 conditional pick (also 5th rd) is voided b/c Flynn not on '15 roster.

The good news keeps on coming

Because it was traded I take it no one gets it? Meaning we don't get it back either?
You know what conditional means? It means we keep the pick because he did not meet the conditions in order for the Seahawks to get the pick.

Flynn opened training camp as the Raiders’ starting quarterback, but would lose that job to Terrelle Pryor, just as he lost the Seahawks job in camp a year ago to Russell Wilson. There have been whispers that Flynn was moping around in meetings and he was demoted to third-string behind Matt McGloin last week.

Sheesh. Take it like a man. Getting demoted twice in less than half of a season has to be tough to deal with, but you put yourself in that position dude. Deal with it.

WOW Shocked

Fallon Smith ‏@FallonSmithCSN 7m
But "right next" to Flynn's empty locker is a big balloon that says "Cheer, Yippee!" 😱 PR guys didn't appear to be happy.

Good riddance.

One former NFL scout said Flynn isn't even an NFL caliber player, let alone backup material.

No point in keeping a guy who gets salty after failing to step up when given multiple opportunities.

Releasing Flynn is a huge testament to Pryor and the way he is playing. DA and Reggie are basically saying we are happy to go with Pryor as #1.

In my opinion they are a joke. In the last ten years there drafts sucked.

Not really. They are saying let's get this crybaby out of the locker room and find another vet to come hold the clipboard.

Should lay to rest the 'conspiracy' theories however Laughing Laughing Laughing

Yeah true few people wasted their time worrying about Freeman lol.

Just think we must be reasonably comfortable with Pryor and his progress. Agreed about Flynn being a malcontent though.

Which is crazy. Who is he to be a malcontent? Dude has 3 starts under his belt. He should be glad to be in the NFL. Does he really think he's going to get an opportunity to start elsewhere?

Delusions of grandeur or maybe he wanted to be cut?

I think initially he was mopey (is that a word? screw it; it is now) more because he was bummed with his performance and getting beaten out. Then once he laid an egg vs the 'Skins and got demoted again, it only made it worse. Plus he kind of seemed delusional on top of that with his comments on his play, so that probably compounded on top of the disappointment. Regardless, we aren't going to tolerate that in our locker room.

As for the comfortability with Pryor, I've definitely notice it increase. Week 1, Pryor makes a play and goes to chest bump DA and Allen is all:

Last night I saw Olson and Allen congratulating him and even showing signs of affection for the guy.

Yeah because he just might save their jobs. Pryor said himself when asked if Flynn was supportive of him when he said 'he can't help it if people were still dwelling on things'.
