I wouldn't mind Flynn coming back for vet minimum and as long as we keep Wallace. Would rather have him then Flynn at this point I think.

I wouldn't. Wallace at best was a journeyman and even having not been here Matt probably still knows our system better.

Love the idea of bringing back Flynn and I hope that we can work something out where he is here for the long haul backing up #12.

Here is my take on Matt Flynn:

He is a backup QB period. He made his reputation and money on 2 games - the New England game and the Detroit game.
He already has the money and he knows by now he isn't a starting caliber NFL QB. He is, however, a quality backup QB.
I will be shocked if TT doesn't sign him. It's a gift.

Would I love us to get Flynn back? Hell yeah I would. I'm sure Rodgers would as well.

I agree. If Flynn is lucky enough to be contacted by TT, he'd be a fool to pass on it. He's Rodgers' Pederson.

Matt Flynn needs talented WR's to be effective. He's not a bad QB at all, but he's strictly a WC offense guy that puts his WR's in a position to make plays. I can't remember many bad throws he made here. Seattle would have been a nice fit for him, but obvious RW is a star, so its easy to see why he got beat out there. I think Oakland was a bad fit for him, that offense is limited as far as talent goes. I'd love him back.

I donno. Man, if he couldn't make it Oakland...

I saw some of his 'highlights' on the NFLN this afternoon and he didn't look very good at all. I'd rather we stick with Wallace for now and if Matt is still available this summer bring him in then and see how he is.

Agreed. I think we've moved on from him and will draft a QB possibly as early as the 3rd round if someone falls.

Why? There's no return on investment there. Now drafting a QB later I can see, but 3rd round? More needs to fill than to worry about that. I'd take Flynn over a 3rd rounder.

Agree. Drafting one in the 5-7 unless there is something ridiculous value wise in the 3-4 round to develop and trade later. Though teams are likely to be much more hesitant after Flynn has been traded from Seattle and cut from Oakland.

Wallace is a good #2 QB to have for his football IQ in the meeting room and on the sidelines. Flynn could be a similar option for next year if he would want to be a career backup which returning to GB would signal.

Best idea of the night for Flynn. Not sure he's actually better than any of their 3 QBs though considering they know the system and he doesn't.
