RT @SI_JimTrotter: BREAKING: The Raiders have released QB Matt Flynn, according g to source.

We "showed interest" in Josh Freeman and have gone through four #2 QBs in 2013, already. Worth going after Flynn at this point in the season, knowing that our bye is already behind us?

Depends on the money, but yeah I would be all for that. I don't trust the other QBs we have and Flynn would alleviate a lot of my worries for a stretch of 2-3 games.

I don't think he can put up those Detroit numbers but I think he's good enough to keep us competitive.

Per Adam Schefter:
Quote:
All together, Seahawks and Raiders paid QB Matt Flynn a combined $14.5 million the past two seasons for one start.

A lot of thanks is due to the Lion's secondary. Laughing

I hate when people forget that Flynn started TWICE.

Flynn probably still wants to start somewhere. I can't imagine him signing with the Packers again unless there are no starting opportunities with upcoming offers from other teams or unless he doesn't like those offers.

If he's resigned himself to be a back up behind an established starter though, Green Bay is an obvious choice.

He sure doesn't look like he wants to start when he plays to me.

Flynn only started 1 game combined for Seattle and Oakland. That is what the quote is referring to, not his statistics in GB.

Only started 1 game for Seattle and Oakland combined in the 1+ years after leaving GB. The quote is referencing that not his time in GB.

I wouldn't mind Flynn coming back for vet minimum and as long as we keep Wallace. Would rather have him then Flynn at this point I think.

i would agree... i liked flynn as our backup for the years he was here & felt very confident in his ability to give us a chance to win.

but i do think SW give us something extra at backup so i would be hard pressed to ditch him over flynn at this point

wouldnt shock me if they brought flynn in next season to give tolzien a run though
