@MikeGarafolo #Packers LB Clay Matthews suffered a broken thumb today. Unclear whether he'll be able to play through it.

Sad

Clearly unaware that White got the largest contract for a defensive player in NFL history.

Obviously I'm no doctor, but can't he just wear a huge club and play through it?

Also, is Lambeau built on a Native American burial ground that was unearthed by the new renovation? Because there is no way all these injuries are just bad luck.

Club it up and go to work, I played through a broken hand in 7th grade tackle football, Clay Matthews can play through it in the NFL. Laughing

Even if he can put a club on it, it'll definitely affect block shedding and tackling.

So how long before gangrene sets in and we have to amputate his hand?

Still better than our other options.

Oh thank God. It's not his hamstring, it's only a broken thumb.

Or worse yet, split ends....

But seriously though, even a broken thumbed Matthews will be double and triple teamed......

This is horrible news for a pass rush that hasn't looked that great thus far

At least Neal and Perry are starting to show up. Honestly not the worst duo to field if Matthews does end up being out for a while. Very stout run defenders, and starting to flash pass rush wise. Obviously, Matthews is our best defender; can't not miss him. But if our defensive line keeps getting the collapse they've been getting lately, I think those two can get a decent edge rush against average tackles. Helps how well Jones and Hawk have been playing... REALLY hoping Jones is a short term injury.

A little off topic, but I really liked the dime look we were showing today. Perry-Matthews-Neal at LB. Get Hayward in that package, keep up our d-line rotation, stunt Matthews and you've got to think that's a pretty nice five man rush. You look at the talent in those eleven, and it's hard to blame anyone but Capers if they can't get it done..

Five sacks isn't sufficient? Jesus, we're impossible.

I'd argue Jordy is probably around the 30th-40th best receiver in the NFL, maybe 50th.
