right now the only choices i would be happy with are gruden or josh mcdaniels.
They coukd try to to lure Stanford's head coach from the college ranks.

He's been rumored in a few circles as making the jump.

College coaches are just risky to me. Most don't work out.

Most don't Harbaugh and Carroll started the trend again, so expect to see a few more over the next few years.

Saban, he won't be in the NFL again; apparently he has issues with not being able to dicipline players for certain things like he can in college.

I'm a little more confident in David Shaw, being a disciple of Jim Harbaugh.

Agreed. That helps a lot.

He has an offensive background, which makes him a candidate.

Cam looked nervous in the pocket today, certain plays he had all day to throw and just tried to escape the pocket then would get sacked.

The game doesn't fall on Cams shoulders in my opinion. I believe it is mostly Shula's fault. The D held the Cardinals for most of the game and came up with 3 huge picks but then only manged to score a field goal off one turnover. Shula doesn't know how to use Cam at all and fails to correct his rookie mistakes. GET HIM OUT ASAP.

Already mentioned but the right side of our Oline is a joke and really needs work.

Ginn was the only receiver that actually looked like he is progressing, Smith just had the case of the drops, and LaFell fails to make big plays when we need him, he's a third receiver at best in the NFL. `

Rivera/Shula had two full weeks to game plan for the Cardinals and showed today how terrible their game planning has always been

Overall we already have most of the pieces of the puzzle to build a playoff team, we are missing strong coaching, a few reliable Olineman, a shutdown corner and future stud WR. I know that looks like a lot but we can be a top dog in the next two years max.

Good game you guys. You guys definetely have a defense that I am scared of. (Added onto how terrible our offense is) and also I can tell you we got by far our best pass rush of the year today. And while Cam may have not looked great, he really didn't have a lot to work with.

I like you guys' team tho. Improve the OLINE and find a younger and legitimate threat in the passing game and I think you guys could be really good.

Cheers you guys

Well...It was another Panther game. Rolling Eyes I'm not even sure what else to say about the team at this point, they're just not good on offense at all. Can't help but laugh because I don't even know how we'd fare against Jacksonville with such inconsistency.

Jon Gruden or Greg Roman. Bill Cowher as a wild card.

But Gruden should be tops on all our lists. He is vocal, can motivate and is probably one of the greatest QB coaches out there. He won't put up with Cam's showboating BS.

Bing us Chucky Richardson!

Chris Simms and Bruce Gradcowski come to mind when thinking of Qb's Gruden made look good. I would welcome him with open arms around here.

My only reservation with Gruden is I don't want this to become a QB farm. I remember towards the end of his stint with the Bucs, he started collected way too many Qb's by draft, trade and free agency.

Took Rich Gannon from being an NFL journeyman to NFL MVP.

Gannons numbers didnt improve from kc to oak that much. He won mvp under Callahan also had his best season probably in part to having tim brown and jerry rice

Gruden laid the ground work for that team, they went to the SB the year after Gruden left; who took TB to the SB the same year. The year after, Oakland was in shambles and has been ever since.
