Our ST was good the first two games. And how do you suggest we build a good ST if we don't bring those players back?

I doubt we bring Hunt back.

Overall solid,

I think the real life Eagles will make more trades and cuts. I'm really expecting a huge overhaul.

So am I. I was being slightly conservative. We are in year 2 of the rebuild, this is when the majority of the changes happen.

Build and Colt Anderson do not go together. Journeyman and Colt Anderson go together... Colt Anderson has been on the roster for many seasons of bad special teams play while offering zero at his defensive position. Good teams with no weakness at a position can afford to carry a special teams specialist. Reserving a safety spot for Colt Anderson is removing a bullet from the clip in pursuit of trying to hit on a productive starting safety. How can you BUILD a secondary with Colt Anderson taking up space?

Aside from the first two picks, not huge on the draft. I like that G from UCLA, but would rather go CB in that round and guard later.

Smith could be good from Louisville....I sorta like him.

Doubt we make that many trades. Would rather keep Curry than trade him for mid rounder...he'll get more PT.

You didn't take into account the dead money for cutting guys like Soap and Cary, as well as for trading Cole.

Interesting ideas though.

I did take into account the dead money- the figures quoted there are net of the dead money

This is a bad team, we need quality players everywhere. I'm following the BPA strategy.

Like I said before, the number of trades is on the conservative side. I think this roster is going to look completely different this time next year.

On Curry, its obvious that they don't know how to use him. So why keep a guy who isn't going to get on the field?

Regarding Curry it's mostly me hoping that the coaches figure out how to use him and how good the kid is.....I don't want to let him go for some mid round pick only to see him go and dominate elsewhere..that'd suck.

I'm cool with BPA....I just don't like some of the players you drafted is all. I do like Smith, the UCLA Guard, Bortles, and Barr.

I actually am on board with the idea you have in your mock to have us go OLB in the 1st (Barr, Van Noy, or Mack)...then trade back into the late 1st and get Carr/Bortles/Morris. I'd be cool wit dat if Hundley/Boyd/Teddy are gone by our pick which could very well happen

I really hope they figure out how to use him as well, but from the first 5 games, they haven't and aren't prepared to find out about what he can do.

I can't say that I like this at all.
I have no problem with the FA you let go.
Maclin will never settle for 3.0 million a year when bad WR's are getting 5.5+.
Thorton isn't worth a 2nd round tender. At best, he is a spot starter and rotational guy.
I don't see any of those trades as having realistic value.
I think you are over spending in FA to bring in players that are going to make you better next season. The problem is, you still wouldn't have a QB that can win in this league IMO. Why overspend in FA if we are still going to be a 4-6 win team? Continue to build through the draft.
I see one playmaker in your draft. Is that enough to make us better?

Actually agree with this...We have 5 safeties and two only see the field on ST. Coleman, Anderson. Get some young hungry quality guys to come in and play (while developing)

As far as the rest

Don't like Maclin coming back unless he's taking the 3rd spot from Avant.

Don't understand the QB pick, not a fan at all.

I do like Barr...

FA is eh

I kinda like it. Barr would be a great haul. IDK too much about Bortles TBH. I saw one game of his when he played SCAR and he looked great. Seems like he has a good mind but his arm isn't anywhere close to elite. (does that sound right?)

I agree. I worry about his ability to make throws in the NFL. Also, I don't see a lot of anticipation on his throws. Kind of has to see the throw to deliver it, major knock imo.
