It's that time of the year again and I was wondering if anybody was interested in continuing the fantasy basketball league. If we're going to do this I want at least 10 members from the Ravens forum. The rules will be the same this season except for the added matchup acquisition limit that's pretty much standard in all other leagues but I left it out for some reason last season. The limit is 7 players per 7 day matchups, or it scales up or down for longer or shorter matchups. Here's the link to the league if anybody wants to check it out:

Ha, that's the one scoring category that's open for debate. Everything else is staying in and nothing else is going to be added but turnovers can be taken out if the league wants. Actually that would benefit me because just about every league I've played in I'm one of the leaders in turnovers...

You're adding new rules to try and contain my dominance as league champion. Not talking

No matter, may Kobe once again lead me to the promise land! Cool

I'm in.

I say keep turnovers in. And I'm pretty sure I lead the league in turnovers last year. It makes this more tactical. You've got to find good players that can also be efficient. Whereas without turnovers we're just talking about taking a bunch of volume players.

I think the matchup acquisition limit is geared towards the playoffs. It eliminates some playoff teams adding and dropping a ton of players just to get guys who have games in the lineup. Your team should be good enough to win without doing that. Wink

In regards to turnovers, I look at it as I don't factor them in at all. PGs especially are going to have a lot but I'm not going to pass on a guy like Russel Westbrook (just an example, I know he's hurt) because of it. Most good players that handle the ball a lot and play a ton of minutes do have higher turnover totals.

Well when Kobe tears his Achilles right before the playoffs. That sort of destroys your team... But since Kobe got me there... I wasn't just going to cut him. It's called loyalty... And winning. Wink

I'll get in on this, surely I can't be as unlucky as I've been in fantasy football so far this season
I gotta get some wins soon or else I'm gonna be swimming around in that Sacko and then I'll be forever unclean

I'm guessing this isn't going to get off the ground. Right now we have 4 members confirmed. Those that played last year but I haven't heard anything from are Flaccomania, sp6488, ravens_rule28, HokieRaven5, drd23, and wackywabbit. We need 6 more confirmations. Any Ravens forum member is welcome to join.

So... anyone else on this forum want to join so we can do this?

An auction basketball draft actually goes much quicker than football.. from what I've experienced with mock drafts.

I've received no PMs of any interest either. The season starts on the 29th so we'd need to draft before then if we're going to play. My hopes are not high though.

An auction draft takes roughly 1.5 - 2 hours for basketball in my experience. Really depends on how competitive the bidding gets early on.
