It's an indication the Bolts don't expect Malcom Floyd (neck) back any time soon. The longtime Titan couldn't make it past final cuts with the 49ers, but had a strong preseason. Hawkins should contribute mostly on special teams in San Diego.

Not sure how this helps the passrush, but it may mean Floyd is out for longer than we all hoped.

According to that report, they worked out six receivers. I agree that it's likely that Floyd is out longer than expected, but it also appears that they don't have faith in Ajirotutu as more than an emergency option.

Among those players, Hawkins has the most experience returning kickoffs. He could be signed to fill Fozzy's former role.

The hits keep coming. Can we just have our Top 10 pick now and get it over with?

..... And it's official

Floyd went down in Week 2, and suffered a knee scare in the preseason. In between was his 32nd birthday. Translation, Floyd is no guarantee to be back with the Bolts in 2014 even though he's due $5.75 million through 2015. He's out of guaranteed money after this season. A one-dimensional deep threat, Floyd has never caught more than 56 passes in a season, and has long had durability issues.

That sucks regarding Floyd, but honestly, I've always fallen into the "Rivers can throw to anybody who isn't absolutely horrible" camp. The passing game shouldn't miss a beat, even with the loss of our most obvious downfield threat.

Talented guy. Just seems to not have it there between the ears.

I remember on the Titans, he had all the potential but never put it together.

They hate the Chargers because they've proven them wrong. They basically thought this offense would be unplayable. Rivers could throw for 400 yards and 5 TDs on the Seahawks and they'd say he's still not that good.
