A hard fought tight road win in Tampa Bay will bring smiles to the faces of both fans and players of the Cardinals, and while there were some speed bumps along the way there were plenty of good performances to watch during the game. But who was the best player on the day?

Patrick Peterson - Played tight coverage, lived up to his billing as a potential shutdown corner, two big INT's in the fourth quarter. A stand out player for me.

Dontay Moch - In his first action as a Cardinals player Moch showed some top notch passing ability. In addition to his sack late in the fourth quarter he added a pair of QB hits and a tackle for a loss.

Matt Shaughnessy - Starting at the SAM OLB spot in his first year on the roster Shaughnessy showed up in all the place most people don't look. He set the edge well vs the run, he allowed other players to make the big plays, but he also had a batted ball that almost led to an INT, he added a QB hit, a tackle for a loss and recovered a fumble. A big day from the former Raider.

These are the three guys that stood above the rest of the pack for me. So who was your player of the game?

I gave my vote to Dontay Moch. Just a really nice first game for him.

Probably PP for me, but no one really deserves it, unless we can give the award to the Bucs.

They must have had money on us to cover the spead or something.

Docking points from PP cause he ignored a house call. Laughing

Moch jumped off the screen and I'm hoping we found a diamond in the rough...

Smart play. It is kind of like falling down at the one yard line so you can run out the clock, take all the risk out of the play. Would have been nice to see him return it for 6 though, and he did have the room.

I was just messin' but it shows that win > numbers and it's good our best guys play that way.

I went Moch, first time out there and I thought I heard this was his 2nd NFL game.

not to nitpick but Matt Shaughnessy was a Raider

I am pleased with Moch's play and look forward to seeing what he can offer this season but I went with Peterson. He held Vincent Jackson to 2 catches for 27 yards and had the 2 big interceptions that were huge for this team.

Glad to hear about Moch. The guy knows how to get to the passer. Bengals really messed up utilizing him. We really need to give up on signing 3-4 OLBs...

Orlovsky has too much experience here. Manziel doesn't stand a chance.

I remember seeing a lot, and I mean a lot of Cincy fans saying Moch would do much better in a 3-4. He was drafted out of position, and hopefully that was his big issue. I don't want to get my hopes up for a cast away who had one good game in his entire career...but he did look good.

Truth is this team has not had an explosive young pass rusher since simeon rice!

I am very excited about the potential of Moch, especially considering how he was acquired. This could be huge for the cards!

It's gotta be PP21 but Dontay Moch stepped up big time!

The guy is a freak athlete.

4.40 40 time and 42" vertical at 250 lbs at the combine.
