Here's an article on the defense, which Long said is "disgusting".. Talks about quite a bit.. Including the person responsible for the soft coverage

I knew some of these players must be sick to their stomach with how they're playing as a team. It's basic stuff that they're doing wrong, like tackling and filling gaps

Quote:
The plays marked rare forays into man schemes for Walton, who has been criticized for his soft zones meant to prevent the big play—typically trusting only Finnegan counterpart Janoris Jenkins to play press-man.

Doesn't really say he's the reason for being off so much but.. My guess is it's him.

I know this defense can pick it up again.. They should.

I saw a bunch of other threads talking about Bradford and the offense so here's one for the D. Do you guys think this is something that can be fixed soon? IMO yes it is. I wish we had picked up Delmas and hope we get Dunbar back. But it is what it is.

I think Walton isnt doing a good job and we need to go back to whatever we were doing last year.

Long has been disgusting as well. Pot meet kettle.
Quinn has been the only guy that has answered the call.

Uhm, stop looking at his stats. Im not faulting him because he isnt built for stuffing the run, but he is average at best at that. And Long gets far more attention in terms of double teams and backs helping.

He's not even been doing that. All the LONG runs have come from Chrises side or up the gut.

I'm not saying he's garbage, it's clear as day that he's hurt.
But he isn't providing the hurries we are use to.

Unless I read it wrong it says in the article that the rams are getting to the QB in about 2.3 seconds.. better than last year. Might have read it wrong though

Hey gentlemen. I have a question for you: how frequently was Janoris Jenkins matched against Larry Fitzgerald, Julio Jones and Dez Bryant during their games? How would you say his play has been so far?

I can't say I have analyzed every moment but I do believe he has done a terrific job. He always has the potential to gamble and make a big mistake but he has looked pretty good. Cort keeps getting burned though. . .

JJ actually got flagged against niners because he was so tight on the coverage. The pass went his way, obviously uncatchable due to coverage, but he was flagged cause Boldin couldn't even shake an inch on a foot step.

Finnegan is through. Tennessee knew it . Laurenitis is a finesse player. Brockers is in a soph slump. Get some f****** run stoppers next year. Get rid of that slack defense. This year is over. Oh and fire Fisher.

I'd say somewhere around 16-22. We certainly aren't an elite unit with what we are giving up in the passing game, however we get alot of stops. If our offense could actually sustain drives and score like they were in the 1st 2 games our numbers would look alot better.

It's crazy to think we only have one interception so far..

I wanna play.

Long is overrated. Brockers is a bust. Langford can't do anything. Laurinaitis is weak. Ogletree gets tossed like a salad. Finnegan needs to retire. Jenkins makes too many mistakes. Trumaine Johnson can't stop anyone. T.J. McDonald is too slow. Rodney McLeod shouldn't be on the team.

Other than that, the defense is pretty good.
