Not sure how legit this is but I love it.

Birkett and every legit source is saying it's bogus.

Would totally do that deal though but doesn't seem like it's realistic.

I hate getting breaking news from sources like this.

But I'd love it if it's true. Nicks is another injury-prone player, but we absolutely need a talent of his pedigree across from Calvin to make a legit run at the Super Bowl within the next couple seasons.

While it don't seem the most reliable of sources, it don't look to be a completely irresponsible journaling site either. I really hope there is at least some truth to it. Would be a great fit here IMO.

Detroit writers have shot it down.

Who knows, something may happen, but I hate when people start bogus "headlines" like this. Either get concrete proof or keep your "trap" shut.

Means even less to me than the original report. It is easy to report something when you have been told something. It is even easier to shoot something down when you aren't privvy to the information. If you don't have the info, then shooting it down is just as irresponsible as making a headline without information.

Basically, it is entirely possible they just don't know and aren't willing to accept that something may happen without their knowledge.

I find it curious the story was Syracuse based.

I actually got excited for a split second.

The price for Nicks is probably a little too high for Mayhew anyway.

Yeah seems pretty weird for a Syracuse site to break Lions/Giants/NFL news.

Laughing I went into the Giants forum to see if they knew anything more about the Nicks trade and I saw that Phreak had already beaten me to it. The replies that he got though were hilarious. Phreak went in there asking a simple question and gets treated like crap from some posters Laughing

That's a pretty bad first impression of the Giants forum for me, and I hope it's not always like that. Thankfully this place isn't usually like that.

Although it's been known for our GDT's to turn into civil war. Even after a win. Laughing

Ack, one guy got a little attitude, nothing big. I might too with the suggestion that my team trade a solid value trade piece for only a third. Nothing I can't deal with as long as I got my big boy pants on.

And I agree DHLF. If it weren't a NY based site, I probably would lean the other way, but I am leaning towards thinking it may be true mostly based on that fact alone. If I was from Cali and someone tried to post MLive as a source, I might question it and I am trying to keep that in mind.

We played the Giants a year or two ago and I had a rough outing trying to participate in their GDT- they weren't civil at all.
