I know the browns are looking to toss everyone but how would you all feel about maybe giving them a 1st rounder for Joe Thomas + a 3rd or 4th rounder. We all know that we are going to get a LT in one of the first two rounds anyway, might as well grab a proven one. Thoughts?

I wouldn't do it. Even with an elite LT the Browns have gone where? This team can win 10-12 games with Levi at LT.

This is not to say Levi is a good player, just saying that a LT as a single player does not help your win total that much.

What does that have to do with anything? I mean the Bills haven't won anything but I'd still take CJ Spiller or Jairus Byrd...

It all depends on the value, first round picks are gold and WITH Joe Thomas we're still not a playoff team IMO plus it would kill our cap.

I'd pass...

Good idea, but he is old and has a massive contract

Though getting.a player with talent would be great for LT or even OLB

Interesting idea. But with the next draft class being stacked at OT, I would prefer to draft a young talented LT. That way we can have a strong left side with JCoop for many years to come.

We should trade our 2015 1st to get back into 2014 1st round.

So we can take LT and QB or LT and whatever else we want.

I am assuming Carson is here for at least 2 years, barring major injury.

Like the idea of two 1st rounders but I really want Clinton-Dix from Bama. If we can't get a pass-rusher then we should build our D like Seattle and have studs everywhere in the secondary.

I love this years LTs in the draft. If we draft Taylor Lewan I will be dancing, guarenteed. And I do like the QB depth this year and 2015 draft has a few solid QBs as well. I thought about Joe, but decided it would be in the best interest to build through the draft

The goal is to win games, makes the playoffs and win championships. You have to do so with limited resources. The marginal value if an elite LT over a good LT both in terms of cost of acquisition and cost of contract far outweighs any benefits you may get.

Levi is neither good nor great.

Anyone one of the 5 good LTs in the 2014 draft would be a massive upgrade here.

Never said anything different.

But we can also invest far less in FA and get a good LT, a serviceable LT, a LT that we can win with.

Exactly why we should be licking our chops at this draft Lewan, Matthews, Kuojo, Richardson, Erving, Hurst! It just makes my heart dance thinking about it

Then we look at QB with a potential of Mariota, Matthews, (Deep Breath) Manziel, and Stephen Morris (IMO) heading towards the second round! This draft sets up perfectly for us in my mind

If Brett Hundley declares I'd take a strong look at him in the top-10 unless Matthews is available. Franchise QB is priority #1 and he could sit behind Palmer for a year.

If we have an opportunity to draft a franchise QB then we should do it. But our top two biggest needs are LT and OLB. Anyone else a fan of Khalil Mack? I think he will be a strong option where we're selecting in the first round.
