I seriously hope we didn't dump big money on Rivera. We have a solid player in Peterman and signing this old guy to a big deal will hurt us in the cap and in Peterman's progression.

He's very very good though.

If we're going to spend money on O-line, I'd prefer Kareem McKenzie. At least he fills the need at RT. Peterman is waiting in the wings to play RG. I'd like to give him a chance.

I'd much prefer McKenzie as well. Very young for a 4th year player and a good player to sign to a big-time contract.

No price is "too high" considering who our starting QB is next season. He needs all the protection that money can buy! LOL

I'm tired of hoping guys like Peterman pan out. If they did sign Rivera, good for us. Most teams feel that he is showing no signs of slowing down and is so fundamentally sound that he can play for 3-4 more years. We may still make a run at MacKenzie and if we do by luck land both Rivera and MacKenzie then we did very well repairing our line.

If we get Rivera and McKenzie both we'll have one of the best lines in football. McKenzie would actually come in being the weak link Laughing.

McKenzie makes a lot more sense.

You have to figure Rivera wont be getting a huge deal and McKenzie is asking for a truckload.

Otherwise Id much rather play Peterman and McKenzie over Rivera and whoever we fill in at RT.

EXACTLY. Too many of you put too much stock into "potential" and "hope". Rivera is proven, and we need as many proven players as we can get.

How do you know peterman is a Solid player when he didn't play a down in the regular season?

Some of you guys must have a crystal ball or something

Rivera (that old guy) hasn't missed a game in 6 years and played in the last 3 pro bowls. Peterman, couldn't stay healthy in one training camp
