I posted this in a different thread but thought it might be kind of cool for everyone to play GM for a little while. Here are some players that I might consider if the price was right:

Andre Roberts, Cardinals: He is stuck behind Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd. I think he could be a pretty solid #2 WR if he just got more playing time.

Mike Williams, Bucs: He is already a good, young WR who is already playing the #2 WR role. With all of the problems in Tampa Bay he could be acquired at a much lower price than we would otherwise expect.

Jason Avant, Eagles: He would be a one or two year solution. He has good speed and is a decent route runner. Physically, he is a Nate Burleson clone. He could be acquired for a fifth, sixth or seventh rounder.

Who would you trade for other than Josh Gordon?[/list]

The #Lions have talked with multiple teams this morning regarding receivers available for possible trade, according to sources.

Why would any of those teams trade those players?

The Eagles are looking to make a playoff run and Maclin is out for the year. The Cardinals are young and are looking to position themselves for the future. Why take away an offensive weapon? The Bucs would be moving a #2 WR just to need to fill that hole, and he provides a reliable target for a struggling Freeman, and any new QB they may look to bring in.

Outside of Cleveland who is obviously blowing themselves up I don't see a lot of options. Certainly not for anyone that has much talent.

i know it would take a bit, but what about Nick from the Giants? He's a FA next year but they are 0-3 and have two good WR in Randle and Cruz.

As good as Gordon is, he's one more run-in with the law away from kissing a season goodbye. I don't think we can take on that responsibility right now with how critical this season is.

Wonder what they do with Nate's spot since he's likely to miss 4-6 weeks and our one IR return designation has been used on Owens.

why would tampa trade mike williams? they just gave him a contract extension, if they had better qb play they may have 2 wins.... i think i would offer Mikel Leshoure and a 3rd to the browns yesterday for Gordon, They are saying Gordon is an "andre Johnson" type clone. i think our offense can work with that

plus how can they really afford him after the season.

I just hope we don't throw away a high pick for a one year stay. I like this draft and would like to keep atleast my top 3 picks

Brian Quick is possibility. He doesn't seem to have a place in the Rams offense.

Apparently the Lions were already looking. They worked out three WR's yesterday.

Ramses Barden may be interesting. The Giants have great depth at WR and he never really saw much game action.

Chris Harper in San Francisco would be interesting. The Niners seem desperate for weapons so they might not trade him. So far he's been inactive and the Niners have been converting him to TE to replace Walker.

It will be interesting to see what direction Mayhew goes. If they do trade I hope its for a receiver that is good enough to play going forward.

I agree. Thomas was a bust. I really think Gordon (based on price and availability) is our best option.

I wonder what the price for Gordon would be?

I think it would be quite high.
