gotta love that he broke his arm in a car crash because he was distracted by "falling pizza's".

what NFL player is driving around at 2:30am with pizza's in the front seat?

The story gets better! .....

Detroit Lions' Nate Burleson breaks arm in car accident on I-696 after being distracted by pizza

Quote:
Detroit Lions receiver Nate Burleson’s season is in jeopardy after he broke his arm in two places in a single-car accident on westbound I-696 at about 2:25 a.m. today in Farmington Hills.

Burleson was driving a 2009 GMC Yukon SUV when he was distracted by pizza falling off his front seat, according to Michigan State Police Lt. Michael Shaw. He lost control of the car and struck the center median wall.

I agree. I would trade a 2014 5th with a conditional 2015 3rd if he plays x amount of games and stays out of trouble.

With Josh Gordon I'd say we might have the best offense in football when everyone was healthy. Only scary thing is Gordon is one incident away from a season long suspension and we all know Schwartz isn't exactly the disciplinary king.

what would you give up for him? For me I couldn't give up nothing more than a 4th. Maybe like a 4th and a few players.

Nate is simply not lucky. Last years broken leg, now this.

The Lions are cursed.

Nate has never been lucky with injuries. Can't blame the luck on the Lions. Do gotta feel bad for the guy though, he loves playing football, his body just doesn't seem to like to allow him to play.

I don't think the Browns would do that. 3rd at the very least but I think some team might give a 2nd. We're desperate..very desperate. I think I would take the chance. Roll the dice.

is Broyles the #2 by default now?

i was just about to pick Nate up in my fantasy league for some added depth, but then found out about the accident

I'd trade for Greg little before Josh Gordon. Little would be cheaper, and not hand the giant red flag attached to him.

eventually he will be, but for now it looks like they are trying to ease him back by limiting his snaps

Just realized we already used our short term IR designation on Owens, so we either have to carry Nate on the 53 man roster or put him on IR for the season. Looks like we plan on carrying him

Quote:
"Just like not having Reggie (Bush) on Sunday, the next guy has to step up," Schwartz said. "We are prepared to do that as a team. Nate will be back at some point. When he will, he will be a big contributor again to our team."

The Lions have no plans right now to place Burleson on season-ending injured reserve, according to Schwartz, and will wait until after his surgery to make any further determination on that.

Figures.

Just had his most prolific game in 3 years, and then this.

Well, if Broyles is actually ready, he is needed.

He also comes with not nearly as much talent. I wouldnt trade anything for Little. Maybe Leshoure for Little and a pick.
