Will he be out for season? If so, this might be last time we see Nate in uniform..

I saw this in the "breaking news" section on nfl.com. How unfortunate for Nate and the Lions..

it truly stinks for nate nate, he was playing well this yr, maybe well turn around and trade for a wr(cough cought Gordon) or just let our young wrs (broyles and Pat Edwards) step up.. but we also had this same song and dance last yr.....

Man. Hopefully not an IR-type situation, but regardless we need someone to step up for the next several weeks... and we may have to waive/IR someone to get a healthy WR on the roster. Dammit

Pick up the phone and trade for Josh Gordon.

He'd still be an upgrade in the passing game over Pettigrew.

If we can swing it, I would like to see the bring up Corey Fuller from the practice squad in addition to making a trade for a solid #2 WR. Josh Gordon is an interesting trade candidate. The browns are looking for 2014 draft picks. I wouldn't want to mortgage too much of our future for a WR that is known to be kind of inmature.

I can see some other trade options that may not cost as much as Josh Gordon:

Jason Avant: A Nate Burleson clone who has solid hands and runs good routes. Not a lot of long-term potential but good for a year or two.

Andre Roberts: A very under-the-radar player that is stuck behind Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd. He isn't flashy but he could be pretty solid in our offense

Mike Williams(the good WR that plays for the Bucs): He is a good, young WR that could be acquired for a much lower price than other years due to all of the problems in Tampa Bay.

I would prefer to have Roberts or Williams but Avant would be a decent short-term solution. Thoughts?
