Nate Burleson broke his arm in two places during an early Tuesday morning car accident.
Burleson was driving home after watching Monday Night Football with teammates when he was in a single-car wreck. Other than the arm, he's doing fine and police confirmed alcohol was not involved. We don't have a timetable yet, but fractured bones typically take 4-6 weeks to heal. Burleson is undergoing surgery Tuesday, suggesting the recovery period could be even longer. It's a huge blow to the Lions as their veteran ranked 21st in the NFL in receiving yards (239) and was tied for 11th in catches (19). Ryan Broyles was on a strict snap count in Week 3 thanks to his knee issues, but he'll be given every opportunity to run with the slot job now. If Broyles' knees hold up, he'll be capable of WR3 production in PPR formats. Patrick Edwards will also see a boost in opportunities if he can get over his ankle injury.

That really sucks for him, iirc he broke his leg against the Bears last year.

Apparently he was trying to keep a pizza from falling off the front seat. Crazy. Significant loss for them for sure - he has been very good for them.

Did he at least save the pizza?

lol I wondered if he ate it still

Past Bears teams have treat Young Stafford rather rudely, not once, but twice.

The Lions have a defense with a penchant for hitting QB s.

The Bears and refs might wish to be cognizant of this....

Cool

That sucks. I like Burleson. He's a classy guy on a team full of scumbags.

I can't wait to see Kyle Long and Suh beat the living [inappropriate/removed] out of each other.

Can we say that here? I couldn't think of a more accurate way to phrase that.

Seriously though, Long may be the first Bears offensive lineman with the toughness to match Suh since Suh has played in the NFL.

Anyone really do sig bets against division rivals or anything? Saw some other team forums do it, was just wondering if there was any plan for some of you to do a bet with some Lions fans.
