After having a night to think it over, ive said time and again since the schedule came out that if we could get to 3-2 after 5 games we would be in good shape, and well, thats going to require a win this week, on the road against a good 49ers team, but they have been struggling this year

its a prime time game however, so odds are we will suck it up big time

is a crazy thought that we are 3rd place in our division and not currently a playoff team

I hope we go 9-7 or 8-8 and don't make the play offs. At least that way either Kubiak or Schaub loose their jobs.

Wow now THAT'S wishful thinking. The way the Texans operate with their personnel just making it into the playoffs two years in a row earned Kubiak a lifetime coaching position and Schaub the starting job until he's 45.

Anybody hear any news on Cushing and his concussion? It would be a huge blow if he cant play next Sunday night, it's a huge game.

I thought I saw that he passed all the protocols last night (NFL Network, IIRC)

I believe I heard the same. Something like he was fine and wanted to go back in, but we didn't want to risk it getting worse. That being said, he's in Dre situation alla last week. So I'm pretty confident he'll play Sunday night, hopefully!

Question for you guys. The unsportsmanlike penalty on that slam tackle that led to SEA's game-winning FG...was it a good call? Did the whistle already blow?

its a horrible rule, but from what i've gathered it was a legit call....i guess it had nothing to do with a whistle blowing or late hit or anything like that. My understanding is that you aren't allowed to lift a player over your head and slam them down like that...dumb rule, but if thats the rule then it was a legit call

It was a legit call. As really as dumb as it may seem to be. It was the right call.

Really Texans overconfidence is what cost them big time.
