Can anyone tell me about Aaron Murray? I don't watch much college football but from what Ive seen Murray could be a legitimate NFL starter. I like the way he works the field by spreading the ball to several targets and not just his main guy and he can really zip the ball. The only knock against him that I see is his height but that hasn't stopped players like Brees, Wilson, and Vick from succeeding at this level.

I don't think anyone thinks Murray can't be an NFL starter. The biggest issue with Murray in my opinion is his perceived ceiling. Teams will begin looking at him in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

Very low ceiling.
Weak arm, small, questionable decision making, terrible record against quality opponents.
4thish round

Weak arm? His arm is one of the strongest I've seen

Laughing Have you only seen him and Kellen Moore play? Murray have average arm strength at the very best.

Read any scouting report and one of his pros is his arm strength

His arm is about as strong as Andy Dalton's.

I would say closer to someone like Tony Romo

His arm can't touch Tony Romo's. Romo can push the ball to the outside hashes past 10 yards, Murray can't even do it consistently within ten yards.

He's very physically limited, and mentally he's so up and down it's impossible to judge how he'll react to NFL pressure.

Undersized but polished, what you get at UGA is what you get in the NFL.

Being able to throw deep doesn't mean you have arm strength. It's the trajectory that matters.

Murray can throw it deep, but he has horrible velocity on short and intermediate passes.

I think the reason many evaluators are shying away from Murray is the lack of development he has shown on the college campus. He is a four year starter at a top notch SEC school, yet he is still the same guy he was as a freshman. That lack of development is scary when it comes to projecting a guy to the next level.
