I saw a great line in another forum.

From all the interviews the Chiefs will be treating the Giants like a wounded animal.

That about covers what I have seen.

What I fear most is that we (not just fans but players) start to get over-confident. Now I feel like Reid won't let this happen to the players. Here are a few things that concern me personally.

1. Eli is a good QB, I don't think he'll keep playing THIS poorly.

2. The Giants will right the ship eventually, hopefully AFTER this week.

3. Flowers and Smith being dinged is scary, Giants can go long distance.

4. Wilson can break it from anywhere if he actually gets carries, as aggressive as we are a long run or two wouldn't shock me at all.

Now perks,

1. Giants O-line has been playing terrible, and is now banged up, should mean good things for our D-line/Blitzing.

2. Wilson fumbles, Hali and Houston cause fumbles...hopefully this pays off.

3. Giants D hasn't been stopping anyone, our offense has yet to truly click.

4. A win this week means we double the win totals from last year, are undefeated in the first quarter of the season (the only thing Haley ever said that made sense) and are sitting atop of the division, though have not played the Donks yet. It's another HUGE week for the Chiefs, and arguably the best QB we've faced.

While it makes sense, its a looser mentality which is Todd Haley. If a team is 8-0 I brag that we are 8-0 not undefeated in 2 quarters of the season.

With loving care and kindness? There's no place for that in football.

Only if your other options are terrible.

Not sure about how bad the Giants D/secondary is though. If it's atrocious then Avery wouldn't be a bad choice.

It's one of:
Donnie Avery
Eddie Royal
Sidney Rice
Marlon Brown

Isn't Avery pretty much the perfect WCO target for Smith? Works all the underneath stuff, lots of YAC, very quick, etc. I'm expecting them to beat the Giants pretty handily, but I'm not sure how much Avery has seen the field (outside the Eagles game).

Def not Sidney Rice. I find the Texans struggle with faster receivers than bigger ones. Eddie Royal is probably the favorite as of right now, but vs Claiborne or Carr it's not the greatest of match ups. Marlon Brown is my choice.

These guys remember winning Super Bowls. Now they are embarrassed. A wounded animal is not a bad way to look at it. This is am dangerous game.

That said, we beat the best team in this division week 2.

A wounded animal is a very very dangerous thing. They know they are fighting to stay alive and thus will try anything. I think in THESE terms it is a very good way to look at the Giants.

To me it sounds like too many people are forgetting they have a LOT of good players. You can't over-look anyone in this league, let alone a team with a superbowl caliber QB and strong WRs.

LB Nico Johnson on his first impressions of Arrowhead Stadium:

"Oh man, it's the closest thing to a college atmosphere - I'd probably have to say it's like a college atmosphere. The fan base here is unbelievable, just to have the support week-in and week-out no matter what happens, it means a lot to us as a unit here and we're willing to go out and perform everyday just for them."

According to Gretz:

Quote:
Here’s the official league injury report for both teams:

Chiefs
Out – TE Travis Kelce (knee).
Questionable – LG Jeff Allen (groin), TE Anthony Fasano (ankle/knee), CB Brandon Flowers (knee), FS Kendrick Lewis (ankle.)
Probable – LT Branden Albert (shoulder), DE Mike DeVito (neck), FB Anthony Sherman (knee) and OLB Frank Zombo (elbow).

Giants
Out – C David Baas (neck), TE Adrien Robinson (foot), G Chris Snee (hip), CB Corey Webster (hip).
Doubtful – OT David Diehl (thumb).
Questionable – S Cooper Taylor (shoulder), LB Jacquian Williams (knee).
Probable – LB Spencer Paysinger (hip), CB Terrell Thomas (knee), DE Justin Trattou (ankle).

With both Baas and Snee out the Giants OL is a mess - probably even more than last week. Wonder how they go up against Houston, Poe & team ...

Wow. Webster is out too? So 2 starting linemen, and their top corner.....
