There is no person I dislike more on the roster currently then that bum we wasted a 4th round draft pick on. CUT HIM. CUT HIM NOW.

I'm not sure if you're all joking or not? Because I strongly remember before the season you all were praising him and how the 4th round pick was well spent and Akers was trash and stuff.

Now you're all calling for his head?

This is an irrational Philly fan mindset.

I have a more rational mindset.

Or....maybe it's because he didn't suck before the season and now he does.

Hardly an irrational thought process.

He's a kicker. This is how kickers are always treated.

not really. they are kicked to the curb quick but 4 games into a season after being 88% for a career is a much even for a kicker. especially since his only missed 3 kicks so far.

"What have you done for me lately?" applies to kickers more-so than any other position, in my opinion. This is because kickers are easy to get and replace.

It's also because kickers fall off the face of the planet as soon as their confidence is gone. And some don't ever recover. How did Mike Vanderjagt go from the most accurate kicker of all time to street bum within no-time at all?

You could have kept flaunting Mike's past FG accuracy, but it simply doesn't mean anything when your kicker starts to miss and can't get back on track. Alex has missed three field goals in three games now, which, by his standards, is flat out wrong. His 88% or whatever doesn't matter anymore, he's simply a kicker who is struggling right now and thus that is what he is, and that is how he will be treated.

but all kickers struggle. every single one has stretches of struggling. im not saying he will get it back on track but this cut him now attitude is just overboard. its three kicks.

and mike vaderjagt is going to be my point also. he had 4 years of success. the fourth being slightly down. then his 5th year he had a bad season. just slightly higher then alexs. then bounces right back and has 3 more good years. the next year going 37 for 37. then having another slighty down year then another good year.

he only fell off the map when he moved teams, had a bad year, and was 36. kickers fall off the map. thats what they do. but how many fall off the map this early after being that good. what have you done for me lately relates more for a year then a few games.

Is Alex just struggling though? Yesterday we had quite an awkward moment when we were in range of a 50 or so yard field goal but Alex never got the call.

The TV cameras even shot to him, and Alex just sorta dipped his head. Anybody have that moment taped? It was as if Alex knew he wasn't getting the call and his body language showed.

Hell, the only reason the TV crew made the rare shot of Henery was because EVEN THEY were expecting us to attempt a field goal. But it didn't happen and we just punted.

I think we saw more evidence in support of those claiming he isn't trusted with making long kicks.
