Injuries are going to derail this team. Sad.

Doubt it. Might be a good thing. I think Holmes will be better on the left side(Baker has been almost as bad as Lamar btw. Plus I think Holmes will be more comfortable over there). I also think Bartu will be fine. The Falcons always play well when you least expect it. Its when you expect them to blow someone out that they usually struggle. Go Birds!

Its only week 3. Baker is no biggie imo. Just wish we hadve sat Roddy until this week. Oh well. .... Not to mention Gonzo is probably getting his football legs back under him.

No biggie! Have you seen Holmes play RT? Multiply that horrible play by 100 and that's what we will see Sunday. Matt better wear a full body cast.

Baker is the teams best OT, so no this is not a good thing. Not only is he the best OT, but the depth before this injury was poor.

Yep. But he's not playing RT. I think he'll be better against smaller speed rushers. I could be wrong. We shall see. His technique is better suited for LT. Just an opinion of course.

Baker was absolutely horrible this year. PFF had him as the worst LT in the NFL right now.

Exactly. Acting like we lost a pro bowler or something. Smile

Holmes held Chris Long to 1 hit and 3 hurries last week on 47 pass blocking plays. So 1 hurry every 10 plays on his side. that's pretty good considering who he went against.

He had a horrible first week, but I truly think he's going to improve and improve quickly. It's not like Clabo was a world beater his first season starting in 2008 either. He allowed 3 sacks in his 2nd game that year.

That's a good point, Clabo was a no name scrub for a while before he became our best tackle. Definitely saw Holmes improve a lot from week 1 to week 2, whereas Baker looked more like the weak link. Of course he was hurt, but as of right now I think Holmes will play better.

Does this mean Trublood is starting at RT with Schraeder as the swingtackle?

yup. Line's gonna look like this:

Lamar Holmes - Justin Blalock - Peter Konz - Garrett Reynolds - Jeremy Trueblood

3OG/2C - Joe Hawley
3OT - Ryan Schraeder
Inactive - Harland Gunn and Sam Baker

Absurdly small sample size and PFF is a joke anyway.
