Josh McDaniels? Laughing

He doesn't coach defense.

That hasn't stopped the Eagles before!

The defense stinks. Alex Smith was simply incapable of exploiting the defense. A nobody WR torched the secondary with routes that have plagued this defense for a few seasons now. Peyton Manning may score the most points ever against this team.

Every good defense has a competent safety. Ever since Dawkins left, the defense has lacked any intensity at all. We need a safety more than we need a QB IMO.

I don't agree with the last sentence, but your right. Our best hope is Buffalo is dumb enough to let Byrd walk and not tag him again.

Byrd is going to cost a fortune.

There's a reason the Bills couldn't work out a deal with him.

This is why I'd rather draft Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Byrd > Ha Ha
Also we have Howie. He'll front load the crap out of the contract and cut you when Byrd becomes average.

I'm sorry but YES, DAVIS IS A PROBLEM, A BIG ONE. He's never been successful anywhere he goes. He doesn't improve players whatsoever. And for some reason he feels the need to run prevent or something almost prevent every other play.

I think Byrd might be now, but I think Clinton-Dix will be a better player down the road.

In fact, I'd prefer it if we added both. That would be something.

Bama homer for sure but we have other posters in the forum who love Clinton-Dix as a prospect.

I think Willy and Dr. Philly are really high on him also.

I don't remember that happening.

I thought that was the expression you use when someone gets pushed back.

Yes the DC is an issue due to the lack of adjustments and the ability to scheme properly. His job is to put guys in position to make plays.

3rd and long backing everyone up to the sticks on 3 different occasions isn't putting guys in position. The inability to draw up pressure vs an OL that had Queen duncrap and DJ Fluker starting is unacceptable. We're consistently blitzing A gap when DJ/Queen are the slowest pair of OTs in the league. We're putting our NT in the flats to cover Jamal Charles. We're blitzing the strong side of the formation with nobody covering the weak. We're getting outflanked on the weakside stretch run. We're sending a 3 man rush dropping 8 and still getting passes completed. Through 3 games we have not adjusted to teams dinking/dunking the ball up and down the field. Our opponents are converting 41% of 3rd downs...We've given up 77 1st downs in 3 games, in comparison NE has given up 30, Oakland 33, NO 32 I bet none of those Defenses are giving up 40+ 1st downs this Sunday.

What I don't understand is that EVERYONE knew Alex Smith would NOT throw deep. You could count the amount of successful deep throws he's had this season on one hand.

And yet, Billy Davis did all he could to prevent being beaten over top. Even when the Chiefs were dumping their way for huge gains, he never adjusted.
