So here is my dream scenario(s) for this off season.

Fire Rivera.

Hire Kevin Sumlin.

Trade J Stew for Hakeem Nicks.

Draft either Roby, Watkins, or the top rated left tackle.

Thoughts?

Fire Rivera

Hire Gruden

Have Jon bring Jay Gruden to coach the offense.

Hire Lovie as DC, I wish we could just demote Rivera but that would never fly.

Trade-cut Stewart

Pick up home grown Hakeem Nicks

There is more but thats just off the top of my head.

Pick up good tackle in FA, move Gross to RT.

Draft top WR/CB/or if there is a top blue chip safety worth taking over both of the other positions

fire the entire staff except for maybe washington, mills, and skipper

hire david shaw or greg roman... and make sure they want to stick with the 4-3

extend hardy
extend cam before we make a playoff run and/or he hits the market and demands more money

things that would be nice to draft/sign
get as many OL as possible (and prob option gross so he can be RT)
a legit corner who could start on other teams
a #1 wideout to replace smitty who can shift to the slot
#3 wide receiver (lafell, hixon, ginn, armanti are all FAs iirc)
a #2 tight end since brandon williams is already getting inactives and hartsock is a blocker

dont remember but i think cutting beason and godfrey would make sense financially after this season?

I don't want Nicks. He's remarkably injury prone and wouldn't help us in the long run. I definitely would like to trade Stewart, but with the lack of value in the RB position in general, I don't see us getting much. Richardson is a 22 year old 3rd overall pick and he was traded for a 1st that will most likely be in the 20s. Stewart will get us a 5th at BEST.

a 5th is better than nothing which is what we would get if we cut him.

No point. If things continue as they are, he's still under contract and has a 5th year option. He needs to show more before getting an extension.

Nicks is a free agent as well, the only way we'd get him in a trade is if they franchised him.

Really so him putting together drives to give us the lead in the 4th quarter with less than 4 minutes to play and the defense not getting one stop is cams. YOU WATCH WAY TO MUCH ESPN. CAM IS A STUD AND IF THE DEFENSE COULD PRODUCE ONE STOP AT THE END OF A GAME THEN CAM WOULD BE A WINNER AND YOU WOULD LOVE HIM.

I haven't turned on ESPN in about five years aside from MNF games. Cam is still staring down his primary reads. He's still overthrowing anyone and everyone. He's still making rookie mistakes. His mechanics fall apart the moment he sniffs pressure. Cam has all the talent in the world, but mentally, he's awful.
