So, our Texans, fresh off an overtime win over arch-rival Tennessee, fly into Baltimore to take on the Ravens.

The Ravens, coming off an uninspiring victory over the lowly Browns, will attempt to step up and beat our Texans.

Yeah, OK.

Ray Rice is injured. Ray Lewis is gone. Ed Reed is gone, and, oh, yeah, he's on our team. Joe Flacco gets paid a crap ton of money. Thanks, Joe Flacco. Besides Torrey Smith, Flacco has little to throw to -- does somebody have Derrick Mason's number?

Matt Schaub has proven himself these past two weeks. If he makes a mistake, he steps up and leads the Texans back. Arian Foster and Ben Tate have been a lethal 1-2 combo, and Andre Johnson, even post-concussion, is Andre Johnson. And don't forget DeAndre Hopkins, who made a name for himself last week. The defense has our boy, J.J. Watt, and the return of Cush, who has invigorated this team.

What to watch for:

- Will the Texans secondary shut down the Ravens' passing game?
If Torrey Smith is stopped, the Ravens passing game is in trouble. While Marlon Brown has some potential, he's not there yet. There's not much for Joe Flacco to throw to, and if Ray Rice is out, that's only going to further hurt him and help the Texans.

-Can Arian Foster get it going?
He's effectively been outplayed so far by Ben Tate. Yes, Tate is in a contract year and seems especially motivated, but Foster could certainly play a little better. The Ravens defense is rough to face, but Foster has banged on them before.

-Offensive line woes
Derek Newton especially has looked rough for the Texans. Osemele for the Ravens has been abysmal. Both sides have their weak points at line. Whichever team protects their quarterback better might just take this one.

Prediction:
Texans, 33-24

Now can you dig that, SUCKA?!

I'm interested to see if Nuk Hopkins can step up to fill the void of a concussed AJ. The Ravens are in bad shape offensively and I expect our D-line to have a field day (maybe that's just wishful).

30-21 Texans

I like Arian getting jealous of lost snaps. Good competition.

For you Ravens fans, how was Webb look since his return from ACL surgery?

Far be it for me to cheer an injury (I'm not Bernard Pollard after all), but given my disdain for the victim and his bs DWTS father of the year routine, I can still laugh a bit at this all week. Too bad Brynden Trawick didn't play for us in the 2011 playoffs to keep Jacoby away from that inexcusable punt return fumble!

While I'm at it, I sure wish I had a .gif of Vonta Leach begging us for a job this offseason that could run alongside the Ravens desperately trying to get him a TD against us two years ago and Antonio going nuts on them. I propose Ed Reed leads us out of the tunnel this week and Greg Jones scores our first TD!

I'd sure love to see another 43-13 beat down like last year, but I don't want them scoring 13, so I'll settle for 30-0.

I feel bad. A 1-2 start would kill the Ravens chances at going back to back!

Webby, like always, has been nothing short of a disgrace.

Wait....ohhhhhh....

He's been good. He was the only cornerback who Manning couldn't make a fool out of (I forget what the stats were, but they were ridiculously good for him). I would say he's been a lot better than I expected him to be immediately coming off another torn ACL.

Honestly the Ravens dont really scare me like last season when we beat them. First 2 games that have played havent been that impressive. Last week they didnt really get anything going until late to beat the Browns. Is Ray Rice going to play? That would be huge if he doesn't. We have to key an eye out on Marlon Brown. He is the ex factor for them. He has played pretty good in the first 2 games, and Kareem needs to do a good job on him. I wish/hope Ed Reed makes his debut this week against his old team. He deserves a standing O. I think we win this one in a close battle with or without Andre.

Quote:
Texans LT Duane Brown revealed that he injured his right big toe in Sunday's overtime win over the Titans and may miss Week 3 at Baltimore.
"Injured my right big toe," Brown said. "It's a pretty bad case of turf toe. Just taking it one day at a time, see how it heals by the end of the week." Brown added that it "looks like" he'll be a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt with the Ravens. Brown graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 2 left tackle last season. His loss would be a huge one. If Brown sits out, Ryan Harris will fill in. Terrell Suggs plays the right edge, so Harris would be in for a long day.

That could be HUGE. Having a legit pass rusher oppo of T-Sizzle in Dummerville will be trouble for out OT's plus Nagta in the middle....I'm now slightly nervous about this game.

Damn retirement as a Mod, taking away all my cool powers.

Six months ago, I would have edited your post to say "Whatever you say, sir. Would you like a coffee, sir? Perhaps a scone, sir?"

Now? Nuthin. Damn retirement. Sad
