The guy is having an insanely productive start to the season, scoring 2 or more TDs in every game so far and being close to 200 yards receiving twice. He's only listed at 5'10'', 185 lbs but seems to be beating coverages left and right. I haven't seen much of him so have no clue if he's a true burner, great route runner, savvy with finding holes in zone, great YAC guy, whatever.

But you can't ignore that production, and he's clearly Mannion's favorite target for a reason. Anyone have a more in-depth analysis of Cooks?

He was also a 1,000+ yard receiver last year and that was with Markus Wheaton still in town.

He is a late round prospect at the moment but he will blow up at the combine and throughout the year and end up being a 3rd round prospect. Mannion loves him and will feed him the ball.

I don't see him as a late-round prospect. He's faster and quicker than Wheaton and stronger after the catch. And I really liked Wheaton coming out.

He's a burner.

He's kinda small, but he's very good. I think he'll end up being better than Whaton.

looks like a natural hands catcher. Very smooth, agile. But looks 5'9".

Need to see him get off press coverage too, probably.

Speaking of Mannion, what do you think about him as an NFL prospect?

Someone started a thread on Mannion as an NFL prospect. I believe it got one reply so far IIRC. All the reply consisted of was one " Laughing "

It was from a Beavs fan as well. Just sayin.

Maybe go start more discussion in that thread on Mannion.

I'll say Cooks reminds me of Eddie Royal.

Fun fact: 6 of Cooks' 7 TDs have come in the red zone and 4 at less than 10 yards.

Feel like Royal is purely a slot guy. Cooks can play outside, and actually seems to have the skill set/mentality to play better on the outside.

Royal played outside in his Denver days.

Cooks has the same type of quickness and strength. I think Cooks is a better deep threat, though.

Maybe a little bit of TY Hilton with his YAC ability. Though Cooks has more of a "stockier" build.

cooks a late round prospect? tell me thats a joke. he's for sure a 2nd rounder. and regards to mannion, hes shown a lot of improvement this season, but id like to see him do it for a long period of time and still make some smarter decisions with the ball. for right now, id say hes like a 5th rounder

Sort of. I don't think he's quite that explosive. More Antonio Brown or Emmanuel Sanders like.
