The Dolphins are 2 - 0 and are finally headed back to South Beach....this week they face...Atlanta...

I'll think of something clever later in the week.....for right now here is this...

In 2013, Matt Ryan was a Quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. Then, following a devestaing loss in Miami Florida, he left his wife and career, and moved deep into the forest. Now, he is known only as.. "The Falconer".

Man ... I have dear friends 11 - 12 yrs after moving from Atl & I would not go posting anything about U. Grant.

As for the "State Farm Creepy Guy" ... sounds just like the local pathetic Raider fans talking about the 9ers.

I would hope we (as highly educated Phin fans) keep it classy going up against a great franchise & team.

Just me

I know we should be thrilled about our home opener, but not sure how I feel about it. Over the course of the last few years we have played better away then at home. Atlanta is a tough squad so it should be a good football game. I'm feeling optimistic at the moment so I'll go:

Atlanta 24
Miami 29

But I reserve the right to change this prediction.

Sherman burned Atlanta and left it in ruins during the Civil War...

Our pass rush is strong, their oline is weak. We better godamn exploit that. Otherwise, either Jones or White will have his way with us. (Which one depends on Matt Ryan's mood that weeek)

Grant went down in American history as one who employed a "scorched earth" policy on American soil & dirrectly targeted the civilian populous.
He burned a mile widepath through Atlant, pillaged crops, destroyed the rail line syst that fed & employed the civilian infrastrucature.

No quicker way to offend a native.
Just sayin

Crystal Ball says.......

Miami 45 Atlanta 27

People start climbing on the bandwagon, inept sportswriters refer to an obscure column they wrote in July saying Miami and everyone else in the league has a chance to make the playoffs, then pounding their chests ala George Of The Jungle claiming they were the only one that had the foresight to know the Dolphins are playoff bound.

If we can get our 3 injured corners healthy and ready to play, I like our chances. Atlanta's o-line isn't great, they replaced one aging runner with another (who is currently banged up), and after the first quarter, we very well may have made their offense 1-dimensional. The key to winning this game will be getting off to a good start and keeping them throwing the ball so that our secondary can go make plays.

Ah, I know about Sherman's exploits, didnt realize Atlanta was one of his more storied works. But as a North Carolinian the reference offends me just the same.

I was born in Georgia and spent the first 6 years of my life down there. I consider myself a southern boy all the way despite living in Pennsylvania for the last 18 years. I never would have guessed something that happened over 150 years ago would still be such a sore spot.

Good news is Stephen Jackson will miss the game this week, and Jacquizz Rodgers is lousy. Bad news is that means lots of Julio, Roddy, and Gonzalez. But knowing that should mean our pass rush can pin the ears back and get after it.

Atlanta defense has given up 420 yards in both games this year.

Vegas has this game as a pick em.

Everything in my heart and head says we have things going right and this is our time to make a statement.

Dolphins 26
Atlanta 24

anyone know anything on attendance... might we actually have a decent home field advantage for once. 2-0... 4pm kick off... No excuse not to be there.
