In weeks leading up to 2012 draft, Eagles came close to trading 2nd-rd pick to 49ers for Colin Kaepernick....

And Andy would have drafted Russell Wilson in the third if we had not traded for DeMeco. Life sucks sometimes.

Two sides to the story though.

1) We trade for Kaepernick or draft Wilson and still have Andy Reid.

2) We miss out on those two and Andy struggles. Andy gets fired. In comes Chip. He gets to draft his own QB in the future (whether that is in 2014 or 2015 but most likely 2014).

I'm a big fan of Kaep, but we don't have Andy anymore so it's a fair trade.

Lol do people think we would have had success last year with Andy? He kept throwing the ball over and over again, Russell Wilson did not pass for 300 yards until the playoff.

But it would've been great having one of those two guys to let Chip work with.

Eagles and Kaepernick are better off that it didn't happen

The offense that Kaepernick is in now is PERFECT for his skills.

Also Eagles wouldn't have landed Chip Kelly. And I know he's just at .500 but when Chip Kelly actually gets more than one playmaker at receiver (Maclin injury hurts) and he actually gets a defense, this guy is going to be an ELITE coach. With our without Vick I think you guys win a Super Bowl with Chip Kelly.

In the long haul, I'd rather have Wilson than Kaepernick.

LOL THIS! Just like when we could have had Larry Fitzgerald.

We really should have just traded all the picks we wasted during Andy Reid's last few years for studs like Larry and Kaepernick.
