No better than what we have. We're going to deal with the rest of this year and actually fix our QB woes this upcoming draft.

Teddy is coming guys.

I sure hope so.

This isn't a bad thing when you look at the big picture:

This is a rebuild. Gotta be patient boys.

Jones Drew is getting an MRI tomorrow on his left ankle. Welp.

I mean did we really expect the team to look more talented?

We had a handful of good players on defense last year

Paul Posluszny
Daryl Smith
Terrance Knighton
Derek Cox
Dawan Landry
Dwight Lowery

We get rid of almost all of them, replace two of them with rookies (one of whom got injured) and the rest with budget free agents.

So of course the defense looks bad.

Then on offense, you have a garbage QB (both of them), a suspended #2 WR, an injured TE, a bunch of inexperienced receivers, and an o-line that hasn't played together long enough to gel.

Yes, the team is bad. They were supposed to be bad. And it's compounded by the fact that we aren't good traveling out west.

This is the best explanation of the team Ive seen so far... quite well described... throw in a Rookie Head Coach and we have a disaster...

Is it bad I'm hoping for him to go on IR?

Such a sad way for a Jaguars great to go out. Just seeing a guy once so dominant reduced to this...regardless of what he misses in terms of games if it's serious. He just isn't the MJD i want to remember anymore.

I wish we could just forfeit the season, lockup that #1 pick.

I got this feeling in my gut that Caldwell is dumb enough too take clowney and play Gabbert.

If they take Clowney, they're swinging around for a QB in round 2. Getting our version of Aldon Smith/Kaep.

This year would definitely be the year to give it a go

That said, Teddy please

In some ways, i would completely understand swinging for the fences with a 2nd round QB, trying to reboot this franchise in one go.

But i just honestly don't believe this franchise is currently in any place to allow a 'developmental' QB to succeed. It's just not on the table. Even a raw Day1 starter is terrifying.

Kaepernick just had a worse game statistically than Gabbert did last week. Lost by a bigger score.

If you're 100% certain that there is a Russell Wilson in this draft, you take Clowney and then make sure you're in position to draft them. If you aren't sure there is, or don't know if they'll fall to you, you take Teddy and then build around him. To me, that's the only logical way to go about it.

Against the best defense in the NFL. And if you factor in his rushing performance, it's still above Gabbert's performance. And Kaep's week one performance was better than any performance Gabbert has had in his entire life, at any level. So, you know, he can have a bad game and it's alright, because he actually does things well.

Ummm...

28 - 2 = 26
29 - 3 = 26
