I'm betting he plays like such garbage that Campbell starts week 3. What do you guys think?

Late in the season...he gets injured by a defender who blows past Cousins....
Jason C looks respectable, and gets a few starts to allow Weeds to fully heal.

Oh my God, let's hope that Cousins isn't playing late in the season. Sad

I wonder why Week 2 wasn't a poll option? That's as likely as any other week.

It's not gonna happen barring an injury.

I'm starting to miss the kicker, FB and 3rd string threads. Crying or Very sad

There is nothing to gain by starting Campbell at any point this season unless there is an injury. If they think Hoyer could be the future and want a closer look that wouldn't happen until after week 10, but I don't even think Hoyer thinks he is the future.

I may start a thread with a poll that looks like this:

What is Weeden's ceiling?
A) 1st Ballot HOF
B) 2nd Ballot HOF
C) Eventual HOF'er
D) Multiple pro-bowler
E) 2 time Super bowl MVP

I Expect Weeden to light it up this week and remove all doubt that he may not be our future. I think it will become obvious after his glowing performance that we are headed to the super bowl, I won't get crazy and say we win but we are definitely getting there.

I put this in another thread so...

Quote:
My opinion is that the Browns just need to stick with Weeden for the "ENTIRE" season. Sink or swim, I honestly believe that it does the Browns no good if they were to replace Weeden with Campbell or Hoyer. Campbell and Hoyer are backups at best and should stay there.

Neither Campbell or Hoyer are our QB of the future. What would be the point of putting them in? Win 2, maybe 3 more games if that?? Ruin a better draft choice so you can give a "backup" some playing time? You might as well give Weeden the whole season to prove if he can be the man or not. All of this talk of benching Weeden is silly in my opinion. Campbell is nearing the end of his career and does anyone "REALLY" think Hoyer is a starting QB in the NFL?

Just to make sure everyone understands, I am not a fan of Weeden to be honest but I feel that he needs to just be in there as the starting QB for the rest of the year.

My prediction.....Weeden is replaced in the off season.

Peace!!!

jesus christ are you f'n kidding...

it took Rivers at least 3 weeks to hit his stride in Turners offense. We will only give Weeden 2weeks to play a full game in the offense before you want to pull him.

You only want to give 2weeks to weeden when he is missing his best WR for those 2 weeks but thats not a factor. Weeden has a crap guard playing but that is not a factor.

OMG I swear I am going so snap from all this negative crap that is posted...for god sake give time for players to gel and get use to play full games.

Tom Bradys first two games were barely good, should he be pulled?

If the plan is to tank the season for Bridgewater, then the sooner we start Campbell, the better.

Nothing says you've given up on the season like benching the QB you gave ALL the 1st team reps in the offseason to. It's a message the other players will hear loud and clear.

My best guess is the second bye week.

Please take your keyboard and smash it against your forehead several times. I don't expect Campbell to start unless Weeden gets hurt which is very likely with you know who playing guard. This post is complete bs. Stop overreacting its one [inappropriate/removed] game. Jesus Christ.

He's sucked for 16 regular season games already. 15 TD 20 INT... He's better at throwing interceptions than touchdowns. Is there something I'm missing?

Yes. 2 things.

He didn't suck for 16 games.

Oh, and obvious trolls are obvious.
