good win guys.

Disapointed that we let them score that last touchdown, but thats alright. D line still needs some work.

but snelling proved himself today, and if jackson isnt good for next week, i will be okay with him starting.

Nah man, we treat each other with respect in here. You can go to any other subforum in good harmony and no one will probably say a thing about it. And if something happens a mod will come right away in most cases. It's what makes FF what it is.

But yeah, avy has to be 80x80 max by rules (although no one will say a thing if it's 100x100).

Welcome to the forum.

Congrats on the win fellas.. Wish the rams could have eliminated all those penalties and played some press coverage on D. We love to give a 10 yard cushion for some reason. Bad luck was also on our side with the pick 6 and had way too many drops. Not an excuse though.. You guys played well and deserved it. Glad Quinn got another sack though.. Dude is going to be a beast

I dont think any of yall are giving are run D enough credit. Most of us came into this season thinking our run D was not going to be where it needed to be at. They've played tremendously and so have our rookie corners. Have any of yall missed Samuel bc I sure haven't. I loved that we got back to our down the field passing. Looks like we didnt miss White too much either. Douglas is playing good. Big shout out to high top job! We need another good LB. He was suppose to be a cover only LB but I seen some good plays from him in the run game.

All in all, I thought it was a good game. A few things I took away from it.

The Good
* Love the game plan Koetter came up with and Ryan executed this week on offense. The rams have got FOUR very talented DEs on their roster and are without a doubt one of the best teams in the league at rushing the QB. So we implemented a smart, short pass and screen play plan to keep their timing off.

* Julio is really evolving into a DOMINATING receiver, even with Roddy virtually a non factor yet again (except for that one nice 3rd down conversion) Julio is carving it up.

* My boy Douglas had a really strong 1st quarter for us again, proud to see him stepping up with Roddy hurting.

* Jason Snelling once again plods along and wins a game for us in the 4th quarter. I sometimes think he's the best RB on our roster, and today was another one of those times. Quizz has honestly looked horrible so far, but Snelling has played great when called upon.

* Love the way our linebackers played today. Really shut down their running game and Jared Cook was a complete non-factor compared to last week. Joplo Bartu is not losing his preseason stride, loved the way he played out there today. We finally seem to be figuring out how to stop the run and cover the middle, which is huge for us.

* The O-line did alright, Koetter did a good job scheming around their mediocrity. Holmes did average, Reynolds looked below average, but Konz played pretty good actually.

* Our young corners played another great game I thought (until the 4th quarter). They did start running out of gas in the third, but overall I'm pleased. Bradford put up big numbers, but that's simply because they were playing from 2-3 TDs behind for almost the entire game. Their offense was completely shut down the first half.

* Osi has finally started to win me over. Not only because of the sharp INT for TD (first of his career?) but also looking out and getting two big tipped passes later on, in addition to some solid pressure throughout.

* Last but not least, our Special Teams played great today. One of the reasons we were able to control most of this game was our vastly superior field position throughout, with Bosher constantly pinning them inside their own 15. No flashy returns or anything, but the coverage and containing them from getting free yards was huge for us today.

The Bad
* Our running game overall. Specifically, Quizz looked like Turner of 2012 but S-Jax wasn't looking too great before he got hurt either. Now, we were missing our starting FB pretty much the whole game and Snelling played well but as a unit our RBs were largely unimpressive.

* Garret Reynolds is not a long term solution at RG, he gets pushed around too much and has to resort to holding too often.

* Having Drew Davis out there instead of Roddy White restricts our offense a lot, not Drew's fault or anything but we will definitely need Roddy to beat elite teams.

* Thomas DeCoud seems to be playing very soft and apathetic out there this season, not sure what's got him in such a lull.

The Ugly
* By the end of the first quarter, we'd lost our starting RB, our starting FB, and our #1 corner. By the end of the game, we'd lost the most versatile piece of our defense (The beerman) and another one of our young DEs in Matthews. Its week two and key members of almost every unit are banged up. We've GOT to get healthy.

Overall, very pleased with how we performed for most of the game. Good to see us tighten up at the end to secure the win. Good game rams, I wouldn't be shocked to see you again in January.

Can you pint out specifically why you feel Reynolds was below average? I paid special attention to that this week, and he still looked solid.

What's the deal with DeCoud? Other than his batted pass he looks just plain bad. He can't tackle to save his mothers life and he takes terrible angles. I mean Sam Bradford ran RIGHT passed him for a big run, it was embarrassing to watch.
