Thanks for the feedback everyone. I plan on doing this for every game and getting numbers for the entire season, but I can't guarantee I'll actually do them each week and post them weekly.

Nice review. Admitted that Cary played well, still skeptical of him.

Still no reason to be.

You keep saying that like that was the reason our DB's were bad... The reason our pass rush was so bad is cause our DB's covered no one and Rivers had the ball out of his hand in no time the whole game. The pass rush can't do anything in under 3 seconds, I don't care what team you are.

You might be right, but sometimes the pass rush have to get to the QB in ~3 seconds or at least close to him. We didn't. Therefore I stand by our pass rush being putrid until proven otherwise.

Rivers isn't exactly the type of QB who is affected by the pass rush, so the pass rush has to GET THERE or else it won't do anything to him.

The problem is, when we blitz, it takes people out of coverage. That's the ultimate trade-off in the game of football. If you blitz, you increase your chances to disrupt the QB. But when you blitz you leave huge gaps in coverage.

The problem is, Davis was blitzing play after play and nothing was happening. King Dunlap, for all the crap we give him, held his own aside from like one play.

Every time we blitzed, it was picked up. Why were guys wide open catching intermediate routes? Well, because we were blitzing guys and so there was nobody there to cover the area. When the blitz doesn't work, you risk that.

The DBs sucked too, but the passrush was NOT helping.
