From @RapSheet: 'Danny Amendola could miss 2-6 weeks for the Patriots'

omg... Shocked

***Update***

Source: Six weeks is common for Amendola's type of injury. Pats hoping to get him back sooner

***Update***
Quote:
Jay Glazer says on Fox pre-game show that Amendola tore his abductors, which connects the hips to the legs, and possibly has a sports hernia

Glazer reported that if Amendola needs surgery to repair sports hernia, it would keep him out 3-4 weeks

If Amendola needs surgery to repair a sports hernia, he'll likely miss 4-6 weeks. If not, he could be back within 1-4 weeks.

This is what Amendola apparently played with torn in the 2nd half.

If the rookies don't step up big this could be a lost season

On Gronk: The Patriots hope to have him back by Week 3. I'm told he will be back by Week 4. Not being on PUP paid off.

Things are just going great for us...

...manly tears... manly tears... manly tears...

On the plus side, this could be a blessing in disguise. Maybe for the first time in a decade Brady could actually do his due diligence with rookie WRs and develop some in-game chemistry with them.

Not like he has a choice at this point. Can't throw to Edelman on every down.

I'm going to completely ignore all of the negative that comes with this news and pretend it's a blessing in disguise and how it is all really just a brilliant plan by BB to have everyone healthy for playoffs.

Don't try and tell me otherwise!!!

I don't buy the 6 weeks for one second. If they expected him to miss that much time he'd be on the IR not Vereen.

That's a huge over reaction. Even without Amendola and Gronk for the first half of the season, we should still make the playoffs. If we're healthy for the postseason I am happy.

I know and if we're healthy for the postseason, we'll have all our key players including Amendola and Gronk. If we do we have as good of a shot as any.

I can buy into this strategy. Sit all of the key cogs until the playoffs, while Brady takes advantage of poop division. Cool

Will we? I know its doom and gloom, but we havent had Gronk for a healthy playoff run yet and Amendola's track record isnt very good either obviously. I am praying that the rookies start improving fast because I think we made need one of them to be a key guy down the road.

My thoughts exactly. At least he won't get more injured within those six weeks. The second half of the season is arguably more important anyways as we face the broncos, Texans and ravens (as well as divisional games). If all goes well, by that time everyone will be back, brady might establish chemistry with rookies and ridley will learn a lesson in holding on to the ball.

But, then again, nothing ever goes as planned...
