very disappointed by Atkins tonight to be honest. I expected him to dominate despite the double teams all night _________________

sucks that after a win against Pitt on Monday night football I am very unimpressed with our team at times. we should have been up much more _________________

eh..it was an ok win. I will always take a win against the steelers, but I wanted to see more out of this team tonight..more sacks and more out of Dalton in particular |
Great win right there, on prime time TV. We haven't done that very often.
Some guy named Rogers in town next, is he any good ???!!!!!! _________________ " Democracy is a system where two idiots can out-vote a genius..........." |

I don't know about football, but he promotes the hell out of that discount double check. _________________

Agreed. Just hasn't looked the same since he got the money. Although I know that's not it. He'll turn it around but overall he hasn't looked as dominant as I expected so far this year... |

I dont know what it is...watching him, it isnt lack of effort and clearly he is being double teamed, but you would think with the DEs we have and him you would see him more making plays. Hopefully he gets to Aaron Rodgers a ton next weekend _________________

Congrats on the win.
Since I have no faith in the Steelers winning the division at this point, my support is behind you. Ill take any team over the Ravens winning.
Hopefully Dalton can work some things out. Thats the only way.
Best of luck the rest of the way. Hopefully the next game is better than this one. _________________

despite the outcome, 1 good thing was the lack of injuries on both sides. Good luck the rest of the way. I will always take a win over the Steelers no matter what _________________

Big win for you guys. Even better, you're keeping PIT down for the count. If they lose next week vs. CHI it could be a death knell for their season. Here's to hoping! :p |

They say a sign of a good team is play badly and still win. I'll take a win over the Steelers any way an how. Some players played well and some not as well as expected. but we were good enough. _________________

That's kind of how i feel. I know ocho wasn't impressed with the win, but this is the kind of game this team might have lost two years ago. QB plays below average and the team piles up penalty yardage, yet they made plays when they needed to.
What i liked
-Jermaine Gresham catching and running with the ball. That's the monster the team thought they were drafting two years ago. Keep that up and this offense is unstoppable with him, Green, Eifert and Bernard.
-Gio Bernard with the ball in his hands. He got most of his run in the 3rd quarter, and you could see the difference in the offense. Instead of a 70/30 split, this needs to be more of a 50/50. The only time i didn't mind having BJGE in the game was at the end, where not fumbling was more important than actually picking up yardage.
-Front 7 against the run. Didn't figure the Steelers could run, but nice to see them bottled up anyway.
What i didn't like
-Dalton being so errant on his passes. Football Nation didn't get to see the real Dalton. A guy who is poised in the pocket and delivers a nice ball most of the time.
-Geno Atkins being invisible most of the game. The team used him on stunts most of the game, which limited his effectiveness because he ended up on the edge a lot. That's not his strength. Here's to hoping he was just saving it for Rodgers.
-The two minute offense. Or rather, the let's run 60 seconds off the clock and do the 1 minute offense. WTF? This team always seems to lead the league in dumb clock management at the end of the half. _________________ If you're not in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?
