Week 2 starts tonight with the Jets and Patriots squaring off. The Jets got a narrow victory with Rookie QB Geno Smith who was not all that good and the Patriots came from behind last week to beat rival Buffalo. Should be an interesting game, but I believe Patriots will destroy the Jets.

Here is some other week 2 news:

There is some major disarray in Tampa! First, a couple weeks ago, QB Josh Freeman was not voted as a team captain, then, prior to the week 1 opener, they hold a players only meeting, now it's being reported that Freeman skipped the team Photo Shoot.

Jets QB Sanchez may need season ending surgery for a torn Labrum

Denver LB Von Millers troubles continue to build! Now has an arrest warrant out for him from California, and that is after he was just caught speeding in Colorado on a suspended liscense (which he had a previous arrest warrant out for him in Colorado)

Lions DT Suh fined a whopping 100k

That's too bad about Sanchez's torn labia. That's gotta hurt.

Suh should have been suspended. It was a blatant cheap shot. I can't believe that turd appealed his fine. What an arsehole.

I wonder if Goddell will extend Miller's suspension.

He can't. Miller was suspended for violating the league's substance abuse policy, not for violating traffic laws. They're two different offenses, so the CBA protects Miller from more suspension time.

Conduct detrimental to the league or some such BS is what Commandant Goodell will come up with.

He could use that, but it wouldn't be tacked onto his current suspension. Comrade Goodell would have to wait for Miller's current suspension to end before he could levy the new one without them both being served concurrently. And given how ridiculously vindictive Goodell is at times, I wouldn't put it past him to do just that.

Geno has terrible pocket presence so far in this game.

He's shown flashes, but he definitely needs to work on it.

Well, we had to wait all the way down to .38 left in the 4th for some action! 2 player ejections for the jets! Ferguson and I think Colon. Both will see some fines and maybe suspension from the league! Fighting, punches thrown and knocking over a Ref and who knows what else.

That game was awful

As much as I love having football on three times a week, these Thursday night games are never good.
