I am fascinated that anyone thinks Philly is better than Dallas. Odd.

I will go with 4-4, losses to Tennessee, Houston and Cleveland, plus one of the NFC East.

Don't necessarily have to be better, just different. For example, I trust Flowers to lock down Bryant and our safeties to handle Witten more than I trust our D collectively to stop LeSean McCoy and Michael Vick.

With Sutton you never know. You might see 5 DB's on the field way more than last Sunday when we go to the Eagles house. With 5 DB's we seemed to handle the run ok. Granted it wasn't Vick and Co., but......

As difficult as it seems to defend the Eagles 'different' offense, Sutton can make it s equally difficult for the Eagles to handle our defense. Wink

War of The Minds......now let's execute!

I actually really like our Sub D against Philly.

Berry and DJ spying Vick and McCoy. Flowers locked up on DeSean. The rest of the D just flying around.

It's a fun matchup on paper.

We can let McCoy get a few. Vick's arm can beat us. I dont think his legs can at this point.

That is how easy our schedule is. I'm not going to put a L just to put a L. People are going crazy over Philly this year because of one game where their opponents star QB didn't play a snap in over a year. (Philly beat the Superbowl champs last year to kick off the year remember). Philly is very beatable, as well as the other teams. MAYBE Tennessee could beat us but I doubt it.

Let's see the Sunday game first. No matter whether the Chiefs win or lose - it will provide a much better benchmark of where the team is right now.

I just wonder where all the Carr hate comes from. He made a business decision - that's very legit, as is any decision by the (former) Chiefs brass not to extend him an offer that satisfies his demands.
Obviously I#d like to see him get burned next Sunday - but only to make sure the Chiefs win that game. No bitter feelings about his departure. In the end it came down to a decision Bowe or Carr.

Looking at the current cap situation I'm actually glad they did try to sign both. No way the Chiefs could have made the plunge into the FA pool this year had they locked up Carr AND Bowe before. Imagine this team without signing Alex Smith.

KC I couldn't agree more. It surprises me that we're a favorite against Dallas. Though they got 6 turnovers and barely beat the Giants, I think they are better than they played too.

I think if we can come out and look good-very good against the Cowboys even if we don't get a W, I'll start to get more excited about this season (not that I am not pumped anyway. But until we can show up against a competent QB and a strong defense, I'm not going to say anything is "worst case," mostly because worst case could be multiple starters hurt and us going win-less over the next two months.

But for the sake of argument, here goes

Dallas @ KC - W (this is predicated on us hitting Romo...a lot)

KC @ Philly - L - If they continue to play this fast it'll be tough.

NYG @ KC - L - I expect the Giants to right the ship, they won't always give up 6 turnovers.

KC @ Tennessee - W - I think we match up pretty well here

Oakland @ KC - W - Oakland just doesn't have the players

Houston @ KC - L - Houston will be humming by this point, Watt > Everybody on our OL = yikes

Cleveland @ KC - W - We'll rattle Weeden, and I honestly don't get the Richardson love...what has he proven again other than being injury prone?

KC @ Buffalo - L - Buffalo always plays us hard, so this is a push in my mind.

Guess that means 5-4 though it could just as easily be 6-3 or 3-6. All I know is I'm tired of the home fans booing our team, it's time to take back Arrowhead's home field advantage.

I do not understand all these L's to Philly. Maybe I will get it thrown in my face come Thursday, we'll see.
