Richard Sherman is clearly the best CB of Seattle but is or Browner the better CB match up for Boldin?

And why?

Agreed. Ideally, I'd rather have Browner on him. Much more physical and (IMO) able to shut him down for the most part. Anquan is an awesome WR, but Browner would be enough to shut him down and Sherman could have a field day on whoever he's lined up against (Kyle Williams or Vernon Davis if split out wide?). Anyway, we need Browner back for this game so we have the opportunity to make a statement. We may still do well without him, but I always want to see domination, especially against divisional opponents.

It will probably be a mix of both, but I'd rather have Browner jamming him at the line all game.

Your right, it doesnt matter. They are both going to be Boldin kryptonite!

I love the Browner match up tho, love to see him turn it into a street out there with Boldin. Browner jamming him off the line and just getting all kinds of physical is exactly what you have to do with a guy like Boldin who is so physically dominating with most corners.

That said Sherm wont give him a sniff.

We'll see both guys on him, they'll play sides not match ups.

Can't wait for Kam to catch Davis again. Laughing

Most likely it will be whoever lines up to cover the slot WR. Boldin was in the slot every time the 49ers had 3 or more players spread out wide.

Thurmond will see him alot then, Boldin really doesnt scare me. Most passing games in general don't. Stopping Gore and the run game is what worries me more than anything. Our run D needs to figure out what happend cuz its gone from elite to mediocre.

The packers mistake was selling out against the run and not game planning for the passing attack properly. They did slow down the run game very well, but the niners didn't need it to dispatch green bay, not with the crap coverage.

Our secondary is a bit more capable than GB's. The secondary will do their job, its our front 4 that worries me.

Right. We can afford to put 7 or 8 in the box all game. Boldin dominated a secondary that wasn't ready for his physicality, while Seattle may be the best equipped in the NFL.

Running their TE into our DTs on run plays (whatever that's called) isn't going to kill us like last year. Our LBs are prepared and they don't have that advantage with walker any longer. I'd be surprised if Gore eclipsed 70 and I doubt the niners get much more than 120 on the ground total. If we can hold them to under 400 total yards we should win this. We have to rattle kaep early in order to be successful in that. Make him turn it over.

Someone needs to get started on a game thread.
