With little pass rush those are as bad as I expected them to look. I didn't think the guys played that poorly overall.

I can't see the images, but Marshall is a beast. I would have had Hall on him the whole game. Not only is he our best CB, he is the most physical.

Damn harsh grade for my boy considering he got thrown by Marshall on the 38 yd reception. Hopefully he gets a nice grade for his week 2 performance against Pittsburgh.

I thought Newman had a great game against Pittsburgh. Looked by far like our best CB out there...

Week 3

Terrence Newman

Targets 11
Completions 8
Yards 103
1 INT

Leon Hall

Targets 7
Completions 3
Yards 21
1 INT

Adam Jones

Targets 4
Completions 4
Yards 22
1 TD
1 Penalty

Honestly, I knew TheVillian overreacted to not having Ghee or Kirkpatrick for this game. The secondary played as good as you could against the Packers lethal air attack. Newman really didn't play nearly as bad as the stats indicate because there were some catches Nelson made that could not be stopped. He did misplay one long completion, but those back shoulder sideline catches are impossible to stop. They had few of those against the Niners as well.

Leon Hall is THE most underrated CB in the game. He seriously is playing like a top 5 CB through three weeks.

Any numbers for Mays in his LB role? I could be wrong, but it seems as if he has done fairly solid in that role so far.

His season stats are:

Targets 2
Completions 2
Yards 12

But he's only been in coverage for 42 snaps in three games combined.

Yup. Jones got abused all day. Or did Hoyer just make it rain in his direction?

Seriously, Hall has been GREAT thus far, and Newman has played well. But Jones? Yikes! Some games have been bad but this is still one of the best pass defenses out there. I wonder what happens next year with Kirkpatrick hopefully being healthy.
