Glad we managed to pull that out. It's crazy to think it's the offense, particularly offensive line, that is holding us back at the minute. Bucs have a stout defense but we just looked useless for the majority of that game.

That said, the sooner we pay Jimmy the happier I'll be. He's so goddamn good. 1000 yards is going to be eclipsed rather quickly this season I feel.

The line is woeful though and in turn hampering our run game. Brown and Streif I expected would struggle but Evans has been playing poorly as well. Even with McCoy getting limited snaps yesterday.

We're all harsh on Ingram and rightfully so but he's just the wrong back for this offense. He needs a number of carries and it isn't going to work being thrown in every now and then, whatsmore all it does is limit the touches PT gets. A better runner and more versatile football player.

What is it about Alabama running back? Trent hasn't really done much for the Browns either!

DAT DEFENSE DOE. Laughing Admittedly Freeman is trash. Still like what I saw overall but we're lacking depth everywhere, and our 3/4 four man rushes weren't as effective this week. Thankfully we face a useless Cardinal line next week!

O-line, just wow. I think losing Kromer was a bigger deal than we thought. I'm not sure what the problem is, but if it doesn't get fixed soon, Brees is going to need a wheelchair by game 6.

Speaking of Brees. Who the hell was he throwing to on those picks? Both of those picks hit a Buc defender square in the chest. The second pick was especially bad. C'mon Brees.....

Ingram, still, sucks. I don't think it's all his fault though. The O-line doesn't do him any favors in the run game, but still....Pierre should be the feature back getting 15-20 carries a game.

Bright side, DEFENSE. Saints actually have one! And so far it's a pretty good one! Hopefully they can catch a break with the injuries though. Only 2 games in and they've already had 5 guys go down.

And I still want to beat Hartley with a sack of doorknobs. That guy is so sporadic. Every time he lines up to kick I'm in front of the TV praying he doesn't shank.

PS: Colston is awesome. He's been doing it for years. When you absolutely, positively, gotta have a ball caught? Colston is the man. So criminally underrated....

Ingram is having the same problem Bush had and that he's not used enough. Once Bush started becoming more of a feature back you saw him put together much more consistent performances. Ingram is another one of those backs that need to be fed a lot of carries and as the game progresses he becomes more dangerous.

Better RBs for how the Saints are using them are guys like Ben Tate that can get limited carries and hit big plays.

I don't think Ingram has the same issue as Bush, if you watch him play he's just bad. He's not an agile back, but he also runs upright and shows none of the power he showcased at Alabama. He's a huge bust unfortunately.

On the OL, I don't think it has anything to do with Kromer. Jahri Evans is getting older and he might be starting his decline, but he's still been great. His big issue has been penalties, which is very weird for him. Everyone knew Zac Strief sucked and everyone knew Charles Brown would be a question mark, so far Brown has been mediocre and Strief has continued to suck. We desperately need new OTs.

There is not much truth to this.

Yes, Ingram is looking more and more like he just won't fit here.

No, it is not because he sucks.

He needs to get into a rhythm, he needs to be fed the ball. If we only ran Ingram 20-25 times a game, I would bet good money he would be giving us 100 a game. But he can never get rolling because he will never get the touches he needs. Despite what you say, this is a situation just like Reggie.

I also disagree with it being a situation like Reggie. Ingram just looks flat out terrible to me. He has done NOTHING to deserve getting fed 15-20 times a game.

What did Reggie do to show he deserved being fed the ball 15-20 times a game?

What happened once Miami, and now GB, have done it as well as using him in the passing game and not just as a specialist?

Just saying.

Reggie had plenty of flashes in New Orleans. Reggie is still largely the same player, he'll get 2 yards, 2 yards, 3 yards, 3 yards, 25 yards. Detroit and Miami were just willing to put up with that and the Saints were not.

Ingram just looks bad. He can't get to the edge, he doesn't run with power, he's just bad. I'd be willing to bet a lot that Ingram finds no success outside of New Orleans and I felt the opposite about Reggie Bush.

Nothing, and I don't fault them for not using him for 15-20 carries a game. He never proved he was worth it, nor has Ingram. They just don't belong here. Guys like PT and Sproles do. If you ask me we should trade him to the NY Giants for a conditional pick.

But that's part of why you need to do it, until you do, you won't get to see what he can do. I do agree he would be better served on a team like NYG, Pitt, etc, that want to pound the ball with their main RB 20+ times a game.
