Weeden threw for almost 300 yards today, Two of his picks were balls that professional football players should catch.

He was under withering pressure all afternoon, and for the most part, he stood tall and did what he could.

We were completely unable to get to TR untracked today, and without Gordon being able to stretch the Miami D at all, and factor in Schwartz's struggles with Wake + Cousin's inept performance, and it is safe to say he wasn't playing with a full deck.

I think he'll be fine, but next Sunday may be a bit ugly as well, not having Flash Gordon in the lineup.

Weeden, Bess, and Cameron were the only thing I liked about the offense today.

also Rainey is an awful returner. He took some many kicks out of the endzone that resulted in the browns starting near the 10 than the 20...

was Cribbs reincarnated into Rainey

Benji should return all kicks. Hr should be a little slower to call the fair catch on punts though imho.

Weedens second interception shouldnt have been picked, but it was a terrible throw and terrible decision, and he should be judged negatively for making it.

Absolutely not, need to give him some time. I think Jason throughout a season would win us one or two more games, but they have to give Weeden to at least week 8 to finally give up on him

I Think our OL will be better at picking up a 3.4 blitz then a 4.3 blitz. Horton will make sure they can handle a 3.4 defense hopefully

Aaron Rodgers just thru a dad-burned interception. BENCH HEEEEMMMMM!!!!!!! I think I'll go start a poll in the Green Bay forum.

I'm embarrassed to like the same sport that Rodgers plays.

Worst QB ever!!!!

Did you see how his poorly thrown pass hit the receiver in the hands?

Yeah no... this would work if Weeden had won a super bowl and was an MVP candidate. I dont think he should be benched, Campbell's not going to do any better if these receivers dont play up to their level

Disagree.

Either a ball that hits a receiver in the hands is well thrown for all QBs or its not.

A QB's 'mojo' is just an excuse to be biased--and a poor one too.

Objectivity is always more objective. Very Happy

Poor. But I think Weeden was the second worst player on our team (distant second behind Cousin). Our receivers will improve when we get Gordon back. We are stuck with Weeden. Hes our guy. Theres not much hope for our QB position to get better this year.

Weedens first interception was his fault but actually kind of helped us. Weedens second interception was partially his fault but mostly Little. His third interception was 100% his fault.

If you are saying that the second pick was Weedon's fault because he threw it to little and hit him in the hands, your right. Any other meaning is blind hate .

Why am I surprised this thread exists? I shouldn't be.

No way Campbell should start. The Browns are building for the future and they need to know what they have in Weeden. It's not like the Browns will have a great offense with Campbell. Obviously I would have liked for Weeden to have a better game, but he was better than his stats indicate. All three of his interceptions could have easily been prevented by the targeted receiver. The offensive line didn't give him proper protection for much of the game so he had to throw man balls away just so he wouldn't get sacked, and the running game couldn't get going mainly due to poor run blocking.

I honestly don't believe any of the 3 Ints should be placed too squarely on Weedens shoulders. Sometimes you have to put the ball in the air for your "playmakers" to do something.

Benji should have knocked that ball out of the air or tried to high point it. If it would have been Gordon or Little that would have been a potential TD or at the least first down. Wrong WR to throw that ball to.

Little should have caught the ball. His fault. Great throw, horrible catch or lack of.

Cameron got two hands on the ball. Not anything near a perfect pass but he needs to make that play or at the least knock it down. I'd put it on both Cameron and Weeden.

The ball didn't fall our way this week. It's one [inappropriate/removed] game. Big deal. Act like we went undefeated and won the super bowl last year. It's not going to be a perfect season, but there were enough positives to build on and we know our weaknesses.

Cameron is a beast, Haden completely shut down Wallace, Weeden needs a little more time in the pocket.

I know no one likes screens, but they were pretty much all out blitzing us the whole second half. Why didn't we run a couple screens the one we ran was an incomplete but I think if Richardson would have been able to catch it he could have ran to Miami and back.

Hopefully next week we will see an improvement.

Weeden is probably my least favorite Brown ever. I think hes just terrible and it pisses me off we were the team dumb enough to draft him. So many excuses made for him, yet plenty of good QBs can actually move the ball despite terrible offensive lines and have terrific offenses.

Campbell will get some starts soon because Weeden is a clown.

Agree. Been tryin' to tell 'em.
