Forgive me for thinking that when we draft players, our FO needs to do a better job at scouting people for injury proneness. Almost every season the same guys get hurt, it's like you can almost count on it.

How you can blame that on Pouncey being injury prone, I'll never understand. DeCastro looks like he inured him on purpose.

Wait what do you mean DeCastro did on purpose?

Have you seen the play? If it were a Titans defender there would be a huge uproar, and deservingly so. He did not alter his path at all, it looked as if he was trying to injure Pouncey.

Very weird play.
Looks can be deceiving, come on, really?

There's no way a teammate is ever trying to injure another teammate, unless their name is Bill Romanowski

Another issue - QB/C exchange. There were two plays where the shotgun snap was low. One had to be picked up off the ground. I'm not going to lambast Beachum because it's not his natural position.

Yea as crazy as it sounds. It did look like he tried to do it on purpose. Obviously he didn't but it sure looked like it.

Mesa isn't saying DeCastro tried to injure Pouncey. He's merely saying that it's comical because if you just see that you would think that is what he was trying to do.

Fernando Velasco is a very good center who is an FA. He played like a top 10 C for us last year. Steelers should look at bringing him in.

Correct. And if it was a Titans player, there would be people saying exactly that.

i think its a little bit of heat of the moment blindness and his timing with pouncey still not where it needs to be. I will admit though if you watch it, its really hard not to get that thought that it was intentional. (knowing that it wasn't though)

Kion Wilson was in there making plays.

McFadden is on the Raiders PS but of course we can snag him off.

Id imagine John Malecki may be receiving a call.

I have two things to say about this; First of all, I wasn't really talking about Pouncey being injury prone (although he sort of is because it seems almost every year he is injured) because this wasn't a 'typical injury'.

In fact, right now, I'm not necessarily talking about anyone specific, but bank on it, before the end of the season, Gilbert, Foster, & Redman will all be injured.

I was mainly using the injuries today as a platform to suggest that we always have a ton of injuries and the people who "usually" end up injured are the same few people.

Secondly, DeCastro injured Pouncey on purpose? That's just a stupid comment.

He never said he did it on purpose just that it looked like it did.

It's hard to envision Pouncey is going to be a long-term Steeler from here on out with that type of injury.

Larry Foote's move probably just means we bring Mcfadden or Stevenson back...which is a major downgrade.

Hopefully we bring in a quality Offensive lineman as well.

Can't bring McFadden back. he is a Raider.

As I understand it, McFadden is on their practice squad. They could still sign him if they want.

Such a shame to lose two starters in the first game.

Looking forward to see Williams get more action though.
