Honestly the Ravens D didn't look much better than ours last season. They had better pass rush but that doesnt matter for Peyton if it is on the outside. He hates pressure up the middle.

Broncos run D is improved. Still not sold on their pass D. Ravens had a ton of drops. Smith was their only reliable receiver playing and they only had 4 on the roster before Jones got hurt early. I actually benched Brees for Flacco on my fantasy because I thought their pass D would struggle so much. Didnt realize their WR situation.

Broncos offense looks great, minus a run game. I hope our DB's are watching.

Ya Huff was Huff. A servicable FS

It looked like Baltimore got tired. At the beginning of the game they where manhandling Denver's O and D lines. Then things went horribly wrong.

They got deflated and yes probably winded. A humid Denver at high elevation is not really the best place to play your first game. The control at line of scrimmage didn't really help much when their coverage broke down on the back end. Probably didnt help that much of their new defense was not playing.

What's serviceable about getting absolutely trashed in coverage by an unknown at TE? I saw the same Huff who was here, horridly overrated when faced with any actual responsibility in a play. Same loose mindless coverage, same sad attempt at a shoulder tackle in the open field, no physicality. He got eaten up, and last I checked eaten up isn't serviceable.

He'd have looked so much worse if the rest of their secondary wasn't so bad. But somehow even when he isn't a direct part of the play everyone around him looks worse too. I suspect he blows his responsibilities in help early and often too.

And to think Raven fans were all puffed up about how losing Reed was no big deal because they added Huff. Ha!

Yeah, Huff looked worse than I remember. He was benched in the 3rd quarter.

Agreed, Huff looked worse to me too. He had bad games like that in the past but he was never consistently that bad.

Watching Huff last night was hillarious. Still tackling all high still taking bad angels. Some things never change.

For all of the hate you want to give Reggie about the draft (and some of it may be justified), he's done a great job with getting rid of existing bad overpaid players

Absolutely true. He's cleaned up Al's mess nicely.

The Raiders defense got better just by cutting Huff.

And replacing him with Charles Woodson too. If you would have told me that a year ago I would have laughed.

Yeah, that one stings. Same, to a lesser extent, with Bengals/Bears.

EJ Manuel is a stud in the making. Knew it. Tough loss for Buff tho.

Lavonte David is a STUD, but he blew it with that silly play.

Jacksonville looks hopeless. Their receiving core dropped a ton of passes. Looks like a W next week.

Pittsburgh looks worse.

Pitt looks way worse, but they'll get better.

Reggie Bush looks like he's found a team he can succeed in.

Palmer looks like he makes Arizona a pretty good team.

Brady and the patriots just don't look as good this year Very Happy

Jax truly looks to be the worst team in the league

.....and we don't.

Just some first impressions.
